Gold is pretty much the actual bronze.

This post started out as more of a joke, but it actually seems pretty sound haha
When I got the game t launch, I tried my best to lose every game so I could start in bronze. Still ended up Gold 2. I think my team ended up winning 3 of the 10 games in spite of me trying to throw the games. I did it because I have not really played 4 vs 4 before so I wanted to be as low as possible to slow build my skills. I did not do that for January and February seasons. I’m now hovering around gold 6 and playing platinums.

I thought the first 10 games it goes off by how poor you did K/D/A
then once you get ranked it goes off by wins
then after Onyx/Champion, it goes by K/D/A

I won 7 out of ten and was placed in bronze despite having pretty good games even in the ones I lost. Not sure how it gets figured out when placing them.

Loose 1 game
Let the BS ranking system determine based on the last match and ignore the previous nine.
I’m absolutely brutal, and I still land in Gold.

You were rank platinum last season so there is no way you cold have ended bronze. Even by trying to bypass the ranking system by acting noob as -Yoink-, the system knows you are a gold tier player minimum.

Not true.
Myself and a friend played all 10 ranking games together in Slayer two days ago. We both lost all 10 games but I couldn’t resist killing people when they showed how poor they were. My friend removed all the buttons and stick paddles off his controller and played at a slightly worse standard than me. I ended up on Gold 4 and he ended up Bronze 4. We’ve both been playing since launch and have ranked Slayer at every opportunity.
Ran into a team yesterday that was losing on purpose to get a low rank.
We played against them twice and they got ranked bronze 3, silver 2, gold 3 and platinum 2

so now that I’m Gold. next season if I do poorly, the lowest I can reach is Silver?

What? You must not have to even touch the controller then to get bronze
I tried to get into bronze for break out, I got a 0.3 kd and only grabbed flags to score … I won most matches and got put into platinum. Apparently bronze is harder to get into than champion.

I’ve seen the difference in seasons, I’ve seen people who’ve tried and still wasn’t able to place into bronze. Last season I was gold in Swat, just played enough to rank, this season I’m platinum 2 and only played my ranking matches. Hoping to get to diamond.
Ive been matched against Bronze before (January season) when being a Gold 5 in Team Arena.
