I did some thinking and it’s as easy as this;
Flood get all of the same corresponding building the current factions do. Supply is renamed biomass and Power is renamed intelligence. All of the basic structure can stay intact how it is.
What most people are worried about is the infection concept. So,
When playing ATN or firefight you’ll notice the flood infectors have to reduce the health of the unit they are taking to 0 before capturing it, and then die during the infectin process. Flood players will be able to build flood pure forms and infectors out of their base, and gain infected units through combat victories against other players. Similar to the hijack system, taking a unit also takes up respective population points, so if you steal an army of tanks, you’ve lost your infectors, and are probably too high on population to continue building until you lose some units. After playing Manifestation, even on legendary, it’s pretty balanced on if your unit will get infected or not and infection spores pop like ballons to gunfire. It won’t be too op, If the unit costs are done right. They definitely have a potential to include the halo wars 1 units as well to give decent core options alongside the infectors(counter units) as well as the halo wars 1 tentacles and spore cloud launchers.
Dont be afraid of a flood leader being unbalanced or game breaking. It is a possibility.

There is a decent amount of Flood buildings and units in HW2 so PC players could have a Flood leader but for some reason 343/Microsoft won’t allow it.
I don’t think we’ll be getting anymore official content for HW2.
