How fast can the BR75 & Sidekick be fired (Console)?

Even after shortening the hair triggers on my Elite Series 2 controller, I’ve tested the speed at which I can fire the BR75 & Sidekick, & I’ve seen some underwhelming results.

I can empty the BR75’s 36-round magazine in ~5.6 seconds, & the Sidekick’s 12-round magazine in ~3.3 seconds. The BR75’s 36-round magazine consists of 3 4-shots, & the BR75’s optimal 4-shot TTK is supposedly 1.55s. But when I divide 5.6 by 3, I get 1.87s. not 1.55s. At the same time, I can’t imagine how I’d fire the BR75 any faster even if I can fire it Full-Auto.

Likewise, I can fire off 7 Sidekick shots in ~1.9s (which is about the same as the 1.87s in my BR75 test). 1.9s is almost double its listed optimal TTK of 1.1s.

It seems like everyone else can fire the Sidekick much faster than I can, at almost Full-Auto. Are they all PC MnK players? That seems doubtful, since some (most?) PC players use a Controller anyway.

Is my index finger just physically incapable of pressing R2 at its max speed? Or are controllers known to fire the Sidekick slower than MnK?

Fairly certain all weapons have a fire rate lock at various speeds.

Spamming the triggers/LMB will only hit the cap faster but never exceed the cap.

I mean you cant really complain when you have the ability to change your controller… alot of us cant do that.

But yes there are really good ways to fire fast via the mouse, dont forget clicking is easier even more so of you get the sensitive ones and then you can get a scroll wheel to shoot as well (spin wheel and then finish with clicking)

Only real solution to stop inputs affecting this is to add autofire option, but people would complain anyone can fire fast even casuals so

easy answer for the sidekick is a jitter/turbo trigger or a cronus mod

But how is it that 80%+ of players I see can seem to fire the Sidekick at a Full-Auto pace? I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve seen/heard a Sidekick fire slower than Full-Auto.

I doubt casuals (or most people who own an XBox tbh) would go out of their way to get jitter/turbo/Cronus/etc mods.

Not necessarily
I use an Elite v2 controller and I have my fire trgger set to its third seneisitivity and then reduced the trigger throw by 30% which results in essentially a hair trigger

Yea I feel you OP on the sidekick. Sounds like you’ve noticed sidekicks sound differently when someone is full spamming. Thing is I cant make mine sound like what they sound like no matter how fast I spam it. Even when I ask my friends if it sounds the same, we cant hear it. But we can hear it when someone else is doing it. The guys with the different sound sidekicks - yep - always the guys who can empty the full clip in 1 second. Pretty sure there’s a mod or something along those lines. I’ve actually put in bug report for this clear back when they added ffa, as I was convinced the few of them I encountered in ffa were cheaters.

And here is the crux of the problem: Infinite is incredibly hostile to casual players - the Challenge system, aiming, weapon response, etc - all acting as a huge barrier to entry. Unfortunately, it’s why Infinite will never be as popular as it should be. It seems 343 is much more concerned with appealing to the pro-hardcore-MLG-competitive scene, than they are to your average Joe/Jane. Oh well…

How do you “reduce the trigger throw” on an Elite v2?

If you map the fire key to the MMB, the fire rate for the pistol is like an SMG

Is there a friendly, entry-level FPS game out there? With a large MP base?

Yes, Fortnite, CoD, Apex, all the “big” Battle Royale games out right now. Huge player numbers and friendly to “noobs.” Even better, the skill gap can be large, so casuals can have fun, while sweats get sweaty, and everyone is happy.

There are 3 hair trigger settings on the Elite2 but even the shortest is approx 3 millimetres so you still need a fast trigger finger. You can also adjust the trigger sensitivity to respond to the slightest touch (I have mine set to 0-1 rather than 0-100). This is a big improvement on a standard controller or even the Elite1 pad, however you’ll never get your sidekick to feel full auto unless you have a very very fast trigger finger.

When it comes to firing weapons accuracy plays a big role in the success of shots hit or missed.

go into your accessories app and its in your trigger options to reduce your deadzones

OK maybe the Sidekick demands too quick of a trigger finger, but can the BR75 be fired @ max rate-of-fire by people with ordinary trigger fingers? (I.e., not too quick or slow)
