So how far should 343 take halo?
What I mean by this… should we expect a… halo 12 in…24 years? When should it end? I really really love halo and would not mind seeing it go on for eternity…but at some point… it has to end… and I would much rather see it end in a bomb (with ALL the spartan IIs!!!, YES 343 I KNOW YOUR WATCHING!!!) then die out with a pitiful cry after being pumped full of “LETS MAKE MONEY” drugs for a century. Because from my point of view, if something goes on for 20-30 years… it eventually becomes stale… (or gets warped to the point wheres it’s unrecognizable and uninspiring) YEP master chief just saved the universe again…and again and again…and again… I would rather see 6-9 couch griping halos then 20 ones that are… getting old and stale.
I would really like to see it end (the mainstream series) at 6 or 9… … preferably 9… Spin offs are OK, as long as they stay true to canon.

Just to inform you… MICROSOFT CORPORATION (owner of 343i and the whole Halo franchise) are the one that decide the faith of each Halo related thing. Remember that are just part of a mega corporation.
343i have good intentions (hope so) but also applies for this old proverb:
THE ROAD TO HELL ITS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS.
So basically all depends on Microsoft.
They should venture into other genres using the Halo Universe. Simply pushing out a FPS every year will stagnate the franchise if they are following rather than pioneering new mechanics. Halo is xboxs Mario and they really need to explore other venues if they want it to helm the next gen console after Halo 6.
Halo could easily become the next BattleFront or Armored Core title leader in those type of games. I just hope they can weather Destiny and waning interest when new revolutionary titles battle for gamer attention.
343 should take Halo as far as Nintendo has taken Mario Bros.
It should after 6, with the Halo rings firing.
