How exactly do the specializations work?

Hey guys/gals i am kinda confused with the specializations. Lets say i use Pioneer from 50-60 will i ever be able to use it again when i am a higher level?

You do the specialization to unlock the armor, emblems, visor, the variants, and then finally the perk. All as 1-10. So for pioneer, you’d do the armor first, with the emblems thrown in here and there, then maybe the visor color, then the variants of the armor, then finally the perk. Then, you choose a different specialization, and repeat he process. Basically, it’s a choose your own unlock system. When you are pioneer, you aren’t getting any of the benefits of that class until you hit rank 10, then you get the benefit while working on another class.
