How Exactly Do I Download Forged Maps?

I know this seems like a pretty dumb question, but is there any easier way to download Forge maps without having to search for a specific Gamertag and downloading from a player’s fileshare?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but every time I click “Most Recommended” or “Most Downloaded”, nothing is found.

Thanks for the help!

Considering a fileshare feature has yet to be added to Waypoint, I can imagine that it would be difficult to locate a specific gametype.

As far as I know, you must do anything filshare-related through Halo 4 itself.

Don’t know if this is true, but I heard the “Most Recommended”/“Most Downloaded” section servers of file share won’t be available for 1 month. I know the file share works, because I went to a friends house, then went to my own gamertag while signed in as him, and downloaded a map I forged onto his xbox, and it worked. It just seems that that specific part of their servers won’t be up for a month (or something like that)

Yes, yes all this is facinating but HOW DO YOU DOWNLOAD THE MAPS?!

Since this has been brought up again I will answer. The best way is to find the gamertag of a good forger such as Redemtion1272 for 4v4 maps or Able sirThomas for dominion. There are many more but those are the ones I can name off the top f my head.

As for downloading open up the file browser, find the map, press Y, then press downoad.

You don’t know?

File browser, maps, custom search, enter your parameters.

For example, using Waypoint…

I clicked on your profile.
I clicked on View Service Record.
I clicked on the File Share link near the top left along the menu bar.
I clicked on Map variants link along the menu bar.
I found a map I wanted to download and clicked on the Add File link for that map.

The map should make its way onto my XBOX account when I go into Halo 4 next time.

IMHO, that link is misleading. It should say, “Download to XBOX”.

I thought “Add File” copies the file onto your own File Share. 343i has confirmed that “Download to Xbox” is still in development.

You are probably right… I just don’t remember now…

I see that on waypoint under the community section there is a file browser but when you go to reach there is a button send the xbox but tha halo 4 list doesn’t have that why? I don’t understand why 343i doesn’t do anything about it, they just ignore the community
