How download all the Matchmaking Gametypes?

I’m trying to figure out how I can quickly update all the maps and gametypes in the custom game section so that they match the June 3rd update. Any tips? And to get the 4 shot BR + faster player speed in customs, does that happen automatically or is it in the gametype file or in the map file?

Thanks

You cannot update the built-in versions, but you can save the updated versions from Matchmaking after playing them. They will appear separately from the built-ins when you view your Custom Game files.

Play a match, and then go to your Temporary History in the File Browser. Save the files from there.

Note that the updated files have the exact same file names, descriptions, and last-modified dates as the non-updated files, so it’ll be hard to keep track. (It may sound like I’m pulling your leg here, but I’m not – the files actually do have the same dates and everything.)

I’m sure others have as well, but I raised this issue a month ago and was ignored.

I noticed this. It would have been nice if information was updated so we could distinguish them.

Check the gamer tag halowaypoint.

It has the game types.

Thanks for all the posts.

I’d love to have my custom games be updated in one button push. I have a CTF event coming up and I want to do matchmaking-style customs.

I’ll check out the gamertag halowaypoint. Hopefully that will work and hopefully the maps are labeled nicely. Thanks for the lead.

So, by default:

To update your games and gametypes, you have to get into matchmaking for hours, get people to vote for every map, play the match through, locate it in your temporary history, save it, and then you have to figure out which copy is the right one for matchmaking. And if the settings are different for CTF and Slayer (as they are for Ragnarok), then you have three seemingly identical files to play in one menu and rename in another. By the time you complete the process it’s probably time for another map update lol.
