I ask because if i am not playing with a group all I do is lose. And the few wins i do get dont feel like we fought together for a strong victory, but rather the enemy team was just as stupid as mine, tho ignoring the objective more reliably.
Im usually at the top of my team with 3-4 base captures, 35+ kills and the most(important) boss kills on a team of the WORST players xboxlive has to offer.
Games which arent even competitive. losing 1000-300. The worse my team is, the more kills i get, the more bases i need to recapture, the more i have to die to do the job they are to busy, walking into walls, to do.
as much as i like stroking my ego, it feels like the game is intentionally putting me on garbage teams to make it fair.
its bad enough games feel laggier and laggier as if xboxlive thinks New York City is in Eastern Europe, therefore it must be a great idea to fill the server with as many people 3000 miles from me as possible.
gg matchmaking, i will watch my win/loss go down as i play more uneventful international games.
Your warzone stats say that you have a 57% win rate. So what’s happening has nothing to do with you not being able to win. If I had to guess, I’d say it has a lot more to do with the subjective feeling of effectiveness. If you’re playing in matches with and against ineffective players then the whole process can seem slow, unfocused, and purposeless. For whatever reason, the system may be matching you with these kinds of players more often than your personal performance should warrant. This may change over time, but the best way to improve the experience is to join a spartan company, the bigger the better, and play with groups as often as possible.
I assume that you are a good player. After a few games you will get matched up against good players as well. But for some reason still get awful teammates. I think thats because a lot of good people play Warzone in groups, and when you search alone you are on the short end.
Even a team of 4 decent players has a huge advantage already. Just think about what you are able to do x4.
I have no more fun since I match tryhards that only camp in the bases with powerweapons and cross map with BR/DMRs.
In a word Horribly. Its really fast. But skill wise its horrible. Most of my games one team totally dominates the other team winning by 400 points OR MORE.
im not sure how long im going to care about this game when the players are trash.
it kinda shoots my enthusiasm in the face when no matter how hard i try i will lose because my team is less useful than a broken controller. at least they can stand in a base and “defend” it.

These lousy team mates are still getting you to victory 57% of the time. 7% above average may not feel like a big deal, but it is. Most Halo players, regardless of skill, would kill for a win/loss like yours.

I’m guessing he is frustrated like me. When I win its fun. But when my team loses. Its not just a loss. Its most of the time a complete domination by the other team. I can take losses where there is a battle to the end. What I hate is when the other team has all 3 bases in the first 4 minutes of the game and my team is in total chaos. This happens around 70 to 80 % of the time.

No.
“are still getting you to victory 57% of the time”
“getting you to victory”
that implies they are pulling their weight.
they arent
they are not why i win playing solo
as dickish as this sounds, they are lucky they have a tryhard on their team getting 30+ kills, taking out the tanks, hunting bosses, Solo Caping bases. while they are trying to pad their 1k/d on the spire… then lose the spire for me to try to recapture. im the player that when we are triple capped, then randomly we get a base preventing the core from exploding, im the one that went out and captured it. When randomly the enemy core blows up when for 5 minutes the team was at a stalemate. I probably snuck in there with invis and a fuel rod.
And its not even like im some Top Tier MLG player, but it does feel like im the only one giving a damn playing the objective.

pretty much. I will capture a base, then suddenly my whole team shows up after the fighting stops. I will proceed to the next base, capture it, then the first base i captured gets taken. then a boss spawns, I will go to kill it, but im the only person there. If i cant manage to steal the kill i can expect that the base i just left is likely gone. my w/l was around 61% before BTB came out and now its 57%. that is a lot of losing, and im not the player that changed or suddenly got worse. these games go down without a struggle. i often think half the team is idling in the back of the map for how little i see of them being useful.
Matchmaking in all playlists is a mess. 343i just go for the quickest option, and if you’re not in a team you’re in trouble. I always play alone and struggle to go positive, as much as get Wins! People are too concerned about K/D, so will not play objective, as you’re more likely to die.

i kinda want to make a tryhards guide to capturing bases. Because if k/d is something they want, i would gladly let them rake up 40 kills stealing my kills. when im stealing bases alone there are usually 4-8 people constantly respawning on the base that i will kill Over and Over and Over.
its not surprising anymore that players dont show up to help capture bases.
Silenced Weapons while walking with Advanced Sensors will keep you off the radar. Making sure you are always fighting from above them and in a position where they have to turn will give you the advantage.
tho even than the game has a problem with spawns
letting the enemy spawn inside their base while its being captured. its a lot of fun to get shot from freshly spawned enemies you just dealt with.
The matchmaking is not good at all. I always play solo and yesterday I had a good group of people on my team. Then after the map is over I get drop I a game that’s already half over. I got drop in the loosing team and I got my -Yoink- whooped as well. My aiming was so bad, bc I was so pissed off. I only got like an hour each day to play. aaaaargh

I guess your excellent KDAs and W/Ls will just have to be some comfort to you despite the hardship of inferior team mates. Look, we’d all like to have MLG-calibre team mates for every single match, but that’s not who the player pool is made of. Your skills are important to a win, but in a game type like warzone, a single player is eight per cent of his team’s performance. If your contribution in kills or assists or points is better than 8% then pat yourself on the back, and have a little pity for the scrubs who are getting their butts kicked. They didn’t buy a copy of Halo and go into warzone just for the purpose of holding you back. And if they are really such a huge problem then it’s time to join a Spartan Company, preferably a big and active one, and go into the play list in a group.
In the end, though, it’s an un-ranked play list. It’s for fun. If you can’t find anything to have fun with, even in a match that’s going seriously sideways, then you’re more focused on winning than the game type intends, and it may be time for the arena. Or maybe I’m a self-righteous jerk who doesn’t care enough about winning. That’s certainly what you might think if you looked at my service record.
I have an 83% win ratio in Warzone. For two reasons, 1. I play with a full team, so you just need to make more friends. 2. If I do go alone, I make it key to go for points. Period. If you are so caught up with winning and the effort it takes then, focus only on A.I. Remember all of their spawns, know what weapons kill them the fastest. Try to gauge what you think the other team is doing. Of course there are many other things you can do, but this is what works for me.

That just isn’t fun learning spawns, knowing the patterns, things should be random like normal war. We shouldn’t know every thing of by heart that would just be repetitive. That is Halo. It is repetitive, you go in know the spawns, try to out smart the other team, get the victory. I do kinda wish the AI didn’t always spawn in the same spots, but that is just the way it is currently. The OP wanted to know why he looses or gets bad teammates. Well Warzone is basically the only “social” playlist in H5 so all the BK’s go there, that is why they are on his team especially when playing solo. So I was giving him tips based upon the reality of the gametype, not what should be or whatever. Just answering directly what to do.
I’m a below average player and not too savvy of how Halo is played best. I also feel that some games are carried by better players and that most teams playing in warzone are not coordinated. Base capture and defend, getting the AI’s, reversing the lost bases, holding lines of fire to keep enemy teams grounded most of the times do not follow thru and players seem soloing the game for the most part. Many were the times i found myself and a few team mates swarmed by opposing teams that push in numbers and like minded, choosing same targets to get faster kills, etc.
I try to identify these players in my team and follow their lead, give some cover fire and learn something, but random spawns and no vocal interaction make this hard to accomplish.
I keep at it, tough. And a win always feels great.
