I just finished a game where I had minimal deaths, the highest amount of boss kills (mostly legendary, and there were no mythics in this game) and the highest amount of kills overall, yet I placed 5th. Care to explain?
Did you die before the game ended? This seems to place you lower for some reason.
You get points for kills, round survival, boss kills and I think for medals.
Are you just generally curious about why you were placed lower or are you the competitive type and thrive for being first? I know quite a few who get a little worked up if they’re not first all the time. Ff scoring doesn’t matter, you still get the win if you complete 5 rounds.

I’m usually in the top 3, and I found it odd I wasn’t even in the top half when I had the most kills and boss kills.
I’ve also wondered about boss kills, because sometimes I’ll get credit after shooting a couple rounds then running away and focusing on something else, but I can also take down half a boss’s health, take cover when they focus on me, and then not get credit for the kill because I wasn’t shooting when it went down.
That is strange, maybe they played the same as you but they got more round survivals?
That looks like the case for the 1st and 2nd place, but the guy in 3rd had less than half my kills, while the guy in 4th had less than half my regular kills, less than half my boss kills, less assists, and more deaths. That seems odd.
You gotta take into account some other stuff other than just kills and boss takedowns. Tougher enemies are worth more points, you get bonus points for getting combo kills, surviving rounds gets you points, medals, and assists all are the less recognized ways of getting points when you just look at the scoreboard. Not that points matter in the first place, other than to showcase how bad most of the random teammates do.

50 grunt kills is worth less than 26 elites.
Killing infinate reinforcements is alot of kills but less points than big game.

Not completely true. There are RP and XP bonuses for finishing in the top slot(s). If you legitimately outperformed the guys above you in match rank, then you were robbed of additional RP and XP for no good reason.
