How does this make sense?

On halowars.com, the stats for my main tag say im a 31, but im a 36. I made a new account and played maybe 18-19 games total of 2v2 and 3v3 and it says im a 40, yet im only high skill 18 on it so far… How does this even make sense?

the number that appears on halowars.com is not your trueskill.
Its just a number to indicate a percentage of how many games you won.

I think its your total win % divided by 2 but im not sure about that.

It is. It’s also rounded down, which means you’re win % could be 89.9 and your skill will still be 44. I wouldn’t even consider that skill number unless somebody has around a thousand games or more.

You know, I’d really like to see the algorithm for the online TS system. I wonder if it’s just random numbers in the shape of a Halo ring and stored null variables…

wow i def did not know this. I thought it was the true skill rank of the player… I wish i could see the true skill rank of the player without going through the leader boards all the time

Not the equation exactly but it gives a general explanation of how trueskill is supposed to work for matchmaking purposes. although halo wars doesn’t typically have a high enough population for it to work perfectly.
