I’m a little confused. I’ve played 23 games, and won 20 of them… Yet I’m still only silver rank? But I keep playing against others who are gold. Does anyone understand this system? Thanks!
When you play ten games it will place you in a division depending on your results, to move up the ranks you have to win games, now considering you have only played 13 games on top of the original, you should really expect to slog it out a bit more to move up the ranks. Keep playing, and once you’re on about 50 games you’ll find a pattern on your progression. Keep up the good work.
I’m in onyx and only won half my placement matches.

I am wondering the same thing. After playing ten games with my cousin (winning all 10) it placed me in onyx 3 and him in semi-pro. I had a higher kda and higher accuracy. How does that make any sense?

THE EXACT same thing happened with me in my CLAN I was the best player kills/deaths/assits yet I was the LOWEST in the ranking system so any help on how it works would be greately appreciated
Its (the CSR system) -Yoinked!-!! Get this, yesterday I just started the new Breakout mode and during my 10 placement matches I won 6 of them. During the placement matches I was playing good overall, got double kills, lots of assists, carry my team a few times too. Yet it -Yoinking!- ranked me Iron 1 (I was expecting at least Gold)!!??
How can it rank me at the LOWEST -Yoinking!- RANK when I won most of the placement matches and was MVP a few times?! Iron is -Yoinking!- imbaressing when I’ve played in MLG halo tournaments and -Yoink-. It must be glitching on me

i won 7/10 games in breakout and got gold 2. lol
It counts W/L firstly, then it counts K/D/A so that if you lose a game but put big numbers up you can still go positive, but you need seriously solid stats to pull decent stats out of a loss, if you want any decent rank you need a consistent team that win a lot, these are team games after all. The biggest thing worth noting is that it also calculates your overall division and the division of your team mates against the other team. If the system predicts that you should win and you lose then the other team get a considerable bonus and you lose considerable points.
Also worth noting is that you get virtually nothing for beating low ranks or new players. you could win 10 games 50-10 but if you’re playing against unranked people or people in a lower division then you get virtually nothing from it. This system is actually a very accurate representation as it calculates an average, the thing to remember is that it will be much more accurate in the finished product simply because there will be more people to match with.
I was under the impression that it was quite like the Halo 3 system, where it depended on the skill of your opponents and teammates? So, if you win against bad players you wouldn’t rank up as much as if you beat good players?
That’s how it was explained to me. No sure how true it was however…
