How does the CSR actually work?

Ok, so today I finished my 10th game of Slayer in order to get a CSR rating for it again.
I had 150 kills to 70 deaths (figures not exact), a 7.3 KDA, and 8 wins out of those 10 games.
I got put in bronze tier.
How and why?
EDIT:
Also, I did worse in team arena and got platinum tier.

-Yoink- ton of stuff up with the CSR at the beginning. Remember when the game released and bronze got put against onyx?

Absolutely. 343 need to fix these recurring problems in the February update.

And when you do the best on the team with a positive KD but your team loses your rank still goes down. It makes no sense to me. When I play like crap and my team wins it goes up. It really doesn’t seem to measure skill. Just if your team has been winning or not.

No one knows lol.

I just had this, best 10 games I’ve ever played and I end up in silver…

1 word: Broken. Like the others say, you can be a bronze and put up against Champion-ranked players. I have my moments where I play like a bronze ranked player, sometimes the Champion rank players, but I got ranked in Platinum 1 my first go through of Arena ever, how that happened I have no idea.

The average player must have been to high ranked in the last ranks so they may have changed the system.
