How does the betrayal kick system work?

Hello,

Earlier to day, when I was playing a match using a Ghost, this guy jump over front of me, and even if i tried to stop I betray him. Then he kicked me.

It was obviously his/hers fault and it was my first betrayal of the match.

So how does it work? Can you kick some one just with one betrayal? Or only some times?

Thank you.

Like Reach’s betrayal kick system, Halo 4’s betrayal kick system is flawless. What it does is flip a coin every time someone gets betrayed, heads, they’re safe, tails, they get booted.

Flawless.

I say it should be 3 strikes and your out.

I think betrayals are the only reason I use a headset. I like splattering with the ghost, and when someone gets in my way, even if I try to stop, inevitably I end up betraying someone once every 10-15 games. I just say “sorry I couldnt stop in time” and usually people let me go.
Ive only been kicked from a match once from a betrayal, and that is because the guy was pissed I got the ghost before him, so he blew mine up, and I conveniently didnt bother slowing down when he was in close combat with someone I was going for later in the match.

Ive had the option of booting someone just because he shot at me with no one around

So I left the betrayal window open till the match was almost over then booted him for the lulz

I’ve betrayed quite a few times from accidental grenades or splatters in a ghost, only been booted once or twice. Obviously I’ve never seen the boot or forgive screen.

However it works, it doesn’t work well enough. I’ve been in games where some person on my own team won’t stop team killing, and never get an option to kick them. One game I was playing with my girl, some idiot team killed her… I returned the favor with a rocket launcher in his face, and I continue to gladly kill anything that shoots at her.

Depends on the kill though. Sometimes you accidentally kill somebody that was being was being shot at or just happens to be in the way of two grenades. I can’t count the number of teammates I’ve seen die getting in the middle of my grenades, or some idiot who walks in front of a vehicle… Did you not see the huge tank coming your way?!? Do you not look both ways when you cross the road because you think you’re entitled?

People who just outright team kill though… I wish I saw the option to kick more often. Hmm, but then I guess it might start to feel like another Madden game -.-

I was sniping in a match and kept getting ran over by a kid in a warthog who wanted the sniper. I was betrayed by him 3 times. I finally got so fed up with it that I whipped around and shot him dead in the face.

Of course, I was instantly booted.
Moral of the story, revenge is never the answer.

I went back to theater and watched it all unfold. His intentions were even more obvious on film.

Damn I just posted on another thread talking about the betrayal booting system and an experience I had. So here it is again, copy/paste

"I got booted from a KotH game a while back when I tossed a nade at the hill, which had no teammates near it, but because 2 of my teammates were directly to my left, I guess my arm swing, :S, caught them and stuck one of them in the back and killed both. It was my first time ever betraying anyone in Halo 4 and I got booted. Hell it was the first time I had EVER been booted from a Halo game for betraying.

Meanwhile a couple of days later a teammate is driving around a warthog on Ragnorok intentionally betraying teammates by running them down and no option to boot came up. He must’ve killed 4 or 5 of his own teammates.

The booting system STILL does not work right."

(kudos to anyone who knows the reference)

Their really isn’t a way to make a full proof booting system, but this is slightly better than Reach.

@Cpt Jei Sparrow:

The perfect system

hehe, it may be that after all.

Any ways, thank you every one for coming by and giving your view about it as well as an explanation, much appreciate it.

We will need GPSs on our vehicles: “On 30m incoming team mate, tun left on 15m” as well as holding our revenges.

Still, the system as work fine for me most of the time, although I have not been involved in much cases of betrayal.

You must jump on their heads mario-style to kick them.
