How does scoring even work in Reach?!?

I just played BTB and i had 15 kills but 30 points to my team. How?? Also when i was looking at the score board in BTB heavies 1 kill sometimes is 2 points sometimes 1 whats up with this randomness?

BTB Heavies scoring

Headshots, sticks, splatters, and assassinations are all two points.

Others are the same as any other playlist.
