How does pre-ordering not get you a beta code?

Hey,

Just wanted to post on the forum to see if anyone else is frustrated that on the PC, if you buy the game pre-order on steam that you do not get a beta code. It seems like pretty basic game development that if you were to purchase a pre-order before the beta goes live that you should get a beta code. Instead I am sitting here searching for a buddy code online after dropping 60 dollars on the game already.

Frustrated is all I can say about this beta at the moment. Uterly disappointed with the franchise that I grew up on since playing CE

because its not a beta and you are pre-ordering the campaign that has nothing to do with the multi-player

For taking part in the beta you have to be a halo insider, or getting a buddy code. Pre-ordering the campaign gets you the campaign on launch only.

They’ve tried to invite every single person with a valid insider profile. It was announced ahead of time how to get in. It had nothing to do with Steam game ownership, Xbox game ownership, or Windows Store game ownership.
