How does it work? Specifically, does pressing the start/enter button create a new paragraph, or does it confirm creating the post (got my answer to this below). Why does whatever I type pops up on the side in a single line where you have to drag the bar horizontally to read it all? I have only ever seen that preview layout get posted twice compared to all other posts. I use the Microsoft Edge application on the Xbox consoles to type this, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I plan on doing a review on Halo: Infinite, and would like to know as much as I can to share it with everyone. It is going to be long so, what is the max character limit per post? What should I do if I hit the limit and still have more to type? The review is being done using Google drive, so would copy and pasting work properly? Swapping to another tab sometimes makes the other have to reload. Would that mess with my progress when copy and pasting?
Should I post a prototype of the review sometime, so I can get feedback on it’s layout while giving some feedback on Halo: Infinite, early?
I just tried typing a post in Edge on Xbox One. Word wrap worked for me. Did you use keyboard and mouse or a controller to type your post?
Edit: Did you put your text in using ‘Preformatted text’ - either by pressing Ctrl+e or clicking the 5th button from the left above where you typed your post?

I use a controller to type this on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X. I don’t know what word wrap is. As for the Preformatted text button, I never touched it as I don’t know what it means.
Although typing this as a regular post and not a topic starter, the preview layout looks normal. I speculate it could be a bug for console users when they start a topic. …Actually, when I go to start the first paragraph with 5 spaces, it changes the format to what is shown in the topic starter post. That is… unusual. I was taught digital paragraphs need to start with 5 spaces. That back fired.
When you type normally, once the text reaches the right hand side of the edit box, the text moves to the next line as it does in your last post. That is word wrap. Preformatted text uses a fixed width font.
I’ve never heard of starting a digital paragraph with 5 spaces. I tried starting a new topic on Xbox One in Edge and the text was normal with wordwrap. Starting a paragraph with 5 spaces does switch to preformatted text and you don’t get word wrap - the text stays on the same line and you end up with a horizontal scroll bar.
Starting a paragraph with 4 or more spaces is some sort of markup tag to switch to preformatted text, the equivalent to Ctrl + E. using a standard keyboard.
I’ve tried replying to people in posts by hitting the arrow under their name/post but I think the arrow is just a short cut to the whole post. So I think if people read what I post in a form and I’m not quoting anyone I probably look like I’m talking non sense unless you read post before mine…
i dont know either but this is odd.
