I’ve been unable to predownload Infinite’s campaign on my Xbox One so far. Every attempt to use the GamePass app to download the 28GB campaign file has failed, and I’m not sure why. I set my Xbox to standby mode. It should work. But hasn’t.
One waits till the worldwide release and one updates the install. No preload because its a dlc.

Won’t get to install till 6 in the evening so I guess I save the galaxy on Sunday now

Preload is very standard at this point and the issue is probably related to MP dropping early. I would guess mild embarrassment or just not acknowledging such a small issue that will blow over very quickly. I find it frustrating myself. It’s going to launch for me at a point where I will need to wait longer if I want to be able to focus on it at all.
So, basically midnight release for me regardless lol

Considering its advertised and many of use booked time off it is not a small thing imo. The souring of the game before I even get to start the campaign continues.
They should just own it.

You’re right, and I agree man, I just know the pushback people will send our way.
I took off for Halo 5 and missed a Halloween party at my old job, imagine being upset about missing work haha.
(For clarity, I meant that I was upset about missing work because the campaign was a let down for me)
Big issues really cast light on smaller ones, and they could have told people this weeks ago.

I’d appreciate some legitimate transparency instead of this pandering for better optics on disappointments.
I’m a fan. Temper my expectations don’t set me up to more annoyed the closer I get to release.

Hopefully we are both pleasantly surprised whenever we can fit it in our schedule.
They definitely should have told people about the launch times earlier, or broadcast it more loudly if they did mention it.

Yes, 343 said as much. The single player is dropping as an update around lunchtime tomorrow. 70GB. I’m expecting a lot of congestion and SLOW downloads 
Wait I’m late to this party!! I genuinely thought it would have a pre install… wow 60 gb will take me some time to install… probs won’t be playing this till the 9th or something… ah well, on good news this game is fun and campaign looks amazing!! 343 nailed it. But there’s just quite a few let downs keep popping up…
No mission select nor revert last checkpoints
No photo mode (kinda expected this tho)
Lack of co op
And forge
So hard to unlock armour sets
And more
I’m exicted waited years for this… but also devastated… how the game launched there’s pros and cons it seems.

It’s disappointing.
If the other larger issues were avoided and this was broadcast louder and sooner I wouldn’t be annoyed at all.
I hope the campaign eases the other issues for you friend. I will probably be playing near midnight tomorrow.

It really is. I’ve been pretty fired up about the game as a whole, it would be pretty incredible if the campaign was so good it turned the tide on everything.

One more thing that annoyed me at first is how all these influences even not part of 343 got held of the game… posting so much about it… it’s quite hard to dodge… and we gotta wait and don’t even get a pre install… in the end i got over it… but It just baffles me… anyway rant over.

I mean that’s on you, no videogame is important enought to take a day off for.
Want to chill at home? Fine, but don’t blame the game because you decided to take time off before hearing anything about how the release was going to be handled
Well thats a pretty asinine thing to say.
Anything that you enjoy in life is worth taking time off of work, (i prefer getting out infront spoilers).
particularly when you have days left to take in December.
And its the busiest time of the work calander.
I booked it off when the marketing and console splash screen stated
“Halo infinite campaign, Preload now and play it day one”
Its pretty reasonable for a ge to release kn the release date like every other but this one is releasing at 6 in the evening for some arbitrary no sense reason.

Yeah can confirm that there is no preloading the campaign. Sucks because means ‘worldwide release’ isn’t truly world wide release if that makes sense?
