I feel like you’re looking for conspiracies where there are none. 343 is doing a fine enough job sinking its ship on its own. Its competitors don’t need to wast money.

There’s a lot to complain about with base.

343’s been toying with UE since it used it to redo the UI for MCC. There was an article a ways back saying they originally were considering to go to UE but decided to make slipspace before infinite even came out. They’ve also openly blamed Slipspace multiple times for the shortcomings of Infinite…

Given all the people leaving either on their own will, via contract, or 343 cutting them, using a more commonly known engine than some inhouse thing they have issues with has merrit.

I feel like high turnover rates are a symptom society kinda knows the cause of at this point.
