Picture this: an Isabel player rushes straight for YOUR minibase sites and steals them before you know what’s happening. At the same time, she’s somehow able to contest you trying to pick up ambient resources, slowing your response. Trying to take a large base will get it sniped, and trying to play defensive will see you get steamrolled when she has a better economy than you.
Is this one of those “git gud” scenarios, or is there a way to easily crush this strategy?

More importantly, what does Isabel has to do with this? This is called a proxy minibase rush.
With the recent buff to Marines/Flamers you should be able to retake your mini and punish her investment. If she went into a minibase shopping spree her main base should have no turrets, and her army shouldn’t be as sizeable, so I’d say just flamer up her main and then each minibase one by one.

Sadly, I was playing Arbiter, whose Enforcers are a bit more expensive and aren’t anti-infantry.
I don’t understand this problem.
If he gets your mini base at the start of the game he obviously didn’t buy his own.
Hes also picking up your money which means hes not picking up his money on his side of the map.
Its simple buy his mini base and pick up his money and continue with whatever your plan is.

I believe they do increased damage against infantry. However with the recent buffs to UNSC I wouldn’t be surprised if even Isabel is better than Arby.

Still doesn’t let them win against stuff like Snipers.

Wrong topic. My bad.
Players will do this with any leader. Yap is the worst, because he gets more resources.
The best you can do about it is to scout often, and try to grab the mini closest to your base before they do.
Also, in the first few minutes of the game, don’t dedicate your army towards sacking a minibase, unless it has something like a gen there. It’ll take you a while to drop one with a small army, and that’s time that you’re not collecting resources or grabbing nodes. Also, it shows your opp where your army is at.
In other words, it’s a trap.

I used Arby as my main for a while and I can vouch enforcers can definitely take on snipers. You can either teleport on top of the snipers and stasis grenade them all or use a plasma bolt which can kill or one shot 4-5 snipers easy. Either way enforces can clean up what’s left. They wreck your eco but are strong early units, and if your opponent went snipers and lost them then he’s in a worse spot.
