How does halo 4 play like COD?

I got BO2 for christmas, and so far I don’t like anything about it except for zombies which is amazing. I also played some team death match on cod. So what I want to know is how does halo 4 play like COD. So many people are saying that halo 4 plays like cod, but I honestly don’t see it. So how does halo 4 play like COD? (I meantioned halo 4 and COD in the title so I know people are going to click this)

it could be that halo seems to have been slightly more simplified since the previous titles, with ordnance drops and perks leaving more openness to randomness and luck more associated with cod, and the lack of ranked makes it feel like the hardcore players could have gotten the shaft, and giving more attention to casuals.

It doesn’t,idk why people say it does. They give people who don’t like ordance and custom loadouts slayer pro but they just see changes that don’t even matter and complain and say it’s “cod”

So basicly… the competitive players feel abandoned, and ordnance drops and perks make the game too easy… you know what would be cool though? What if halo 4 had a visible ranking system and when you get to a certain rank, your spartan improves in combat but it’s nothing game changing. For example, you get to rank 15 and you reload faster, when you get to rank 25 you can sprint, you get to rank 35 you can sprint for a longer period of time, etc. Though something like that would increase account selling and boosting…

besides perks, custom loadouts, op’d guns, killstreaks and rank based on gametime and not skill, I guess nothing.

Perks:The perks in halo arn’t game changing

custom loadouts:In halo 4 you don’t spawn with power weapons.

op’d guns:There arn’t a lot of op’d guns in halo 4.

kill streaks: In halo 4 you don’t have a helicopter hovering over you ready to kill you in 2 seconds

ranked based on gametime: That is an actual simularity, but it doesn’t have much to do with how the game plays.

Basically perks and loadouts and such. I don’t see It other than that. And what people fail to see is that cod takes from halo too so… Yeah

The fact that Halo has gone from being an atypical arena shooter (CE/2/3) to just another class based arcade shooter (4 & to a lesser extent Reach), people will compare it to the franchise that is considered the defining game series of the genré, Call of Duty.

As it stands H4 has more in common with COD than H4’s predecessors. For many like myself, this is quite a disappointment, we were expecting more arena shooty goodness, not a class based arcade shooter.

While I enjoyed Reach personally, it was as close to CBAs as I was interested in getting. Many of people posting here feel betrayed & lied to over the fact that 343i heard community outcry over the changes they had planned & put out media releases, interviews, etc, trying to downplay the changes. We were told these changes were really only involving Infinity Slayer & that the game in general would still play like a classic Halo title.
