How does CSR work in Regicide?

I constantly get first while playing Regicide, I’m at a 37, then I get third and I go to a 36, get first 3 more times, a 38 shows. Does it count as a loss if you get second or third place? I know FFA works differently, you don’t rank down with second or third.

Someone please explain this,

Regicide is individual which means the most points the higher CSR you should get.
