Bloom is now configurable (like you didnt know :)). It can be configured between 0 and 1lets just say 0 < x < 1 and bloom has been configured to x.
now there are 3 ways (which i can think of) to configure bloom
Pre_TU_Outer_Bloom_Size (PO)
Pre_TU_Inner_Bloom_Size (PI)
x decides size of the outer reticle. So size of outer reticle is now
Outer reticle size = (PO - PI) * x + PI.
Size of inner reticle is constant. The smaller the value of x the smaller outer reticle size
x decides the size of the inner reticle. So size of inner reticle is now
Inner reticle size = (PO - PI) * x + PI. Size of outer reticle is constant.
The larger the value of x the larger the inner reticle size.
x decides the time with which the bloom resets both inner reticle size and outer reticle size are constant. Only the bloom resets faster.
Which way do you think it works? Are there any other ways bloom can be configured ?
Has 343 given any hint how it work? If yes then links please.
I would say, if I am understanding you correctly, that the 1st option you listed is probably the way it works. I have heard them only discuss how this makes the DMR more “reliable”. I have heard nothing about how it will punish spammers more or less. Also if you watch the video from Penance the Outer circle doesn’t move this would indicate that the outer circle is what is being adjusted…maybe option 2 but not 3…This is my best guess.

Haha I’m not criticizing you or other forum members at all :). It’s just too high for me what you wrote
0 = no bloom
1 = bloom the way it is currently in Reach
For example, .85 would expand the inner circle 15% less for every shot fired. Hence, the weapon will maintain accuracy for a greater number of trigger pulls.
