Well, what would you like to see for the pistol that’s taken its various shapes and sizes with its own unique abilities and strengths and weaknesses?
Specifically: rate of fire, damage (hsk), ammo/magazine, scope?, aesthetics
I would like to see basically the Reach Magnum (which was a great iteration of the pistol) with 4hsk instead of 5, and no bloom, but with slight recoil like the BR85HB SR.
Spawning Pistol:
Have it like the Halo 2 pistol. So it’s a side arm weapon.
Magnum: Damage: Halo CE. Rate of Fire: Semi, and Auto. Like Halo CE. Ammo: 12 rounds. Head Shot: 3shot. Zoom: 1.5X zoom. For MP. I want it to be a map based weapon. Which means you have to find it.

I think it would be neat to have two pistols as well with the CE one you talked about as sort of like a power weapon.
I liked the Halo 3 pistol the most but Reach had a decent one, though it became too inaccurate too fast.
In my opinion if we go by past halo standards, 8 rounds, 5 shot kill, faster rate of fire than the BR, no scope, bloom is present but not as much as in reach.
From my own thoughts something new; a 10 round, 5 shot kill, 1.5x scope fast as you can fire weapon, recoil instead of bloom, gets jumpy with too much fire. If dual wielding is in then it could be dual wielded for 25% less accuracy and scope was unavailable when dual wielding.
A 5 shot kill is enough, 4 is too fast. Consider this, BR shots are 3 each. Even with no spread and hitscan, a full burst will not hit every time. In a split moment someone can avoid the 3 “hits” generated far away, maybe only hit by 1 or 2. Pistol rounds are full but should be balanced to this.
I’m not saying it should be weak but would it be so bad for both the BR and pistol to be 5 shot kills, the difference this time is the pistol has a use compared to the BR unlike the DMR.
Most human weapons tend to be designed on a clip size vs power per shot type spectrum.
I think they should pretty much just not have the AR, and use the Magnum, BR, and DMR as close/mid/long range weapons.
In a nutshell, the Magnum should have an “Automatic” capability similar to the CE one, and should natively be much less accurate than the BR, and especially the DMR. It should have a 1.5x scope, and a high rate of fire, with the highest kill time at close range. The inaccuracy should keep it from being useful farther away though. It should be a 5 shot kill, with an 8 shot clip.
Then the BR should be the Min-Range weapon, the recoil making it less effective farther way, and the 2x scope for decent-range engagement. It should have the second highest overall kill time of the 3 weapons. 4 burst kill, 36 bullet clip.
Finally the DMR should be pretty much a Big Team Battle weapon. Straight shooting with a very low rate of fire and a 5x scope, fires effectively straight as well. 5 shot kill, 12 bullet clip. And the only of the 3 with decent anti-vehicle damage.
Solid chrome (but actually in a gray, darker metal), 2x smartlink scope, 5hsk, 12-round clip, zero bloom, some easily adjusted for recoil to add some reality and to make aiming rapid fire more difficult despite zero bloom
CE pistol. Fires fast (but not superfast like Halo 2’s sidearm), is NOT hitscan, 2x zoom, no bloom or spread, 12 rounds in the clip.
One change - make it the same shots to kill as the BR. Unless they actually make it hard to shoot again (low aim assist, small hitboxes, fast movement and responsive strafing), in which case keep it as 3sk given that it will be harder to use well than the BR.
I would like to see an unsppressed version of the automag return. 7-9 shot kill, 12 round mag, 4x scope, laser accuracy+recoil, high rate of fire. A true long range niche weapon but still not a utility weapon due to low damage and low kills per magazine. Regardless I am tired of 8rd mag pistols. I don’t really care for them.
