OK, so with all this talk about Master Chief dying it seems like a really possible outcome. Now personally I do not want to see Chief die, that would probably cause me to leave the franchise but if he has to go how do you want him to die?
Personally if he is going to die, I would want to see him make the ultimate sacrifice to save Blue Team and/or Osiris. So What are the communities thoughts?
Also please don’t say he won’t, it is if he has to die. So please give a legitimate answer for how you want him to die if he does.
If Chief were to die. I think he should be the last of the augmented fully abled SIIs to do so(Red team, Gray team, Blue team, and Naomi). I feel it would be fitting

I’m not sure entirely on that one. I think it’s going to be awhile before John dies, I’m pretty sure 343I know he’s about 85% of their fan base. So im guessing we’ll have time for them all to have their epic way going.
Though if the flood return. I’d find it interesting if one or two the SIIs got infected or converted , however you want to say it. The ability of a SII mixed with the physical strength and power the flood give their hosts, it could be mayhem

I hope it will be a while before he dies. But with all this talk I’m worried they might actually kill him off.
Yeah. I think seeing them turn to Flood would be pretty cool, but sad at the same time. And if John, lives for a while after they do become assimilated he would probably felt like he’s list more.
If he were to die, it should be him and his best friends (Blue Team Arbiter and maybe Cortana) on the ring. The others escape, but Chief and Cortana stay on the Halo after they initiate a self destruct. Halo kind of became a love story, so they should hold hands and be embraced by a blue light of death.
It will be very difficult to give his death the needed weight considering he’s already saved the entire galaxy against overwhelming odds. Several times. Which is why I don’t think he’s destined for a normal death. I’m not sure exactly what will happen to him but he will “transcend” somehow, I bet.

I feel similar to this. I’m also one that doesn’t want him to die… I have zero confidence that it’d be handly correctly, if it’s even possible to set up the proper emotional weight required for his death. Transcendence is the answer… no clue how that would work though.
I’m probably that one guy who wants him to go out suddenly, shockingly, completely unexpectedly at the beginning of the game send the community on a riot! Chief is dead and nobody expected it! Maybe he was shot from afar when his shields were down or was too close to an explosion. Have his corpse a disturbing image in fans minds for weeks!!
Characters in the game have to deal with it, Locke struggles to reach his new expectations, Lasky scare and disturbed about his hero, Blue team reflecting the Halo community and Cortana doing the evil crap she does now. It would be great, but would put a lot of people off ;-;
