If you know how this is going to end plz do tell. I for one realllly hope this is all just some kinda a dream. and the chief wakes up, in some forrunner facility next to the ark.

I’d like to think that Chief comes to terms with letting Cortana go and kills here to prevent any further mayhem and destruction.
I have said this before but I am almost positive 343 is going to retire MC with this trilogy. Bungie created MC with the first trilogy, 343 created Locke with this trilogy. I think MC is for sure, without a doubt, going to end in H6.

I don’t want him to die at all. Their could of been a much better story here, they just didn’t see it.
I hope that the Chief survives, but either continues his missions with Blue Team forever in the background of the Halo universe, or else he retires from service altogether (hard to imagine). I think killing him off is the wrong way to go. And I think that Cortana will see the error of her ways thanks to the Chief by the end of Halo 6, and they’ll mutually agree she needs to go, that AI’s don’t last forever. They’ll have one last hurrah together as a team to save the universe and stop the Warden / Guardians before she goes for good. The Chief will be at peace with how her story ends.
I then hope that the series focuses on other protagonists in the games, even if the Chief makes a cameo appearance or something in future titles and you occasionally get a mission as him for the “good old times.” Focus on characters like the Arbiter, Locke, Palmer, other Spartan companies in future games after Halo 6, with the Chief being seen as a sort of legendary figure for all of humanity, who still lives but in the background of the series. Maybe we get a books about his further adventures. I think that’d be awesome. But give us new heroes to root for and play as in the future Halo games. It would keep the series fresh and interesting, be it a Halo 7-9 trilogy, or further games like Reach.

I don’t know why you want him to go.
I will just say this… if lock had been the main character of halo 4 and chief was still in his tube floating in the abyss(right out side the galaxy next to the ark, cuz that’s how portals work) then i would be ok.
but 343 needed the chief to bring us veterans back… I just wish I or some one else could do the chief justice.
