How do you think this game will end?

Is there going to be a huge cliffhanger like in Halo 2? Is Chief going to kill Locke or vice versa? Will Chief and Locke team up in the end? Will the flood come back? Will Cortana come back? There are tons of possibilities.

What I think will happen is that Chief and Locke are going to team up near the end of the game to take out the greater evil (the Guardians?) that is giving Chief these visions of Cortana to trick him. I also think that the Legendary ending will hint at the flood coming back in Halo 6.

How do you think this game will end?

Anyway is fine with me. Just not another Halo 2 ending. I do feel like someone on one of the teams has got to die. Chief grasping Kelly’s hand in her last breath maybe. But they are all bamfs so no worries.

With credits and an end scene with music…duh. Sorry, couldn’t resist .

Hero sacrifices themselves, warthog run, Flood make an entrance, chief removes the helm, or “We’re just getting started.”…or maybe just a simple conversation between characters.

I see the game going as you searching for Cortana the entire time as fireteam Osiris is hunting you down and right at the end when it seems that they aren’t going to bring Cortana back there is some big hint right before the credits roll that shows she’s still in it. Possibly a vision of some of some sort or a voice in his head? and then black screen.

Locke realizes the Chief was right, and willingly sacrifices himself to save the mission/lives/galaxy. The ending epilogue of Halo Nightfall questions Locke, how will he die etc. It almost seems like foreshadowing to me.

Flood are confirmed out

I don’t think they would kill someone in this one, they might in 6. They would really only kill the new characters since the majority of Halo fans would flip out if they killed the Chief.

Unless they make the other characters as likable as the Chief and make the story as good as the Eric Nylund books I don’t think I’ll play a Halo game after the Chief dies. Now I’m not saying I won’t play a game without the Chief, I played and liked ODST and Reach just that I probably won’t play another one if they kill him off.

It would be odd to kill someone right as they’re just getting introduced even if they were in books before.

Also kinda hope they don’t do what some people above wrote with Locke finding out the Chief is not a traitor at the end. Mainly due to the fact that the E3 mission was the second one in the game so it shows that Team Osiris is already after the Chief “right out of the gate” and not after half or more of the campaign.

It could end with both teams joining forces and taking out the Didact once and for all.

The chief goes rogue and activates all the halo rings.

Arby and Chief say screw war and they start a sitcom together.

I think Buck will die. Palmer, Lasky or Halsey will die. More than likely at the hands of ONI, Mdama or the Warden. It would be sweet if in the final mission you play as the Arbiter, and have to save Blue Team and/or Osiris and/or Locke and/or the Chief from Jul Mdama and his forces, and the end is a badass duel with energy swords (NO QTE PLEASE) between Mdama and/or the Warden Eternal.

Or, if Half-Jaw is in it, a twist ending where we find out that he is really working with Mdama in secret to destroy humanity.
Then the final battle is the Arbiter vs. Half-Jaw.

Another thing is, every mission in the campaign has to support 4 player co op. Which means if any characters die, somehow they would have to shove in a different character for say…player 3 or 4 to play as. This has me thinking the campaign won’t have as many lonely moments as the other campaigns in the past Halos where its just you finding your way around.

If we do play as the Arbiter at some point, it wouldn’t be a stretch to have Chief and/or Locke’s team helping him to save them and/or eliminate Jul and/or W.E. and/or another obstacle.

Locke and Chief will be forced into a situation where they have to work together (even if its not side by side) but towards the very end of the mission they will turn on each other and then: DUN DUN DUN!!! Halo 6.

This facepalm is strong with this one.

No he isn’t. His body died but his consciousness survives.

lol no he isnt. He was composed in Halo Escalation, but he’s still alive. Chief said so. Frankie said so. Bonnie Ross said so.

Lol what is with all these kids who think Didact is dead?

Master Chief and Locke fight, then Master Chief says: “This isn’t even my final form” and turns into Iso-Didact.
