Nah, Guardian alloy composition is tougher than Infinity. It most likely got damaged than the space owl.

that would be awesome! maybe a scene with chief down and being over run, then a radio call comes in with red-team offering assistance and dropping in with a load of ODSTs!

Why would red team be on Zeta Halo? They’re at the Ark with the spirit of fire.

I won’t name where or when because of spoilers, but Huragok (Engineers) are capable of taking down Guardians, although it’s not exactly the easiest thing. Knowing Jiralhanae too, I’m sure Escharum or Atriox would have a heavy-handed plan for taking them down as well. I reckon we’ll see!
Obviously Chips Dubbo took it down.

I think Dr Halsey probably helped reverse engineer the already reversed forerunner technology on the UNSC Infinity to take it down. How, who knows maybe they rammed it and some pulse energy disrupted the Guardian from regathering its parts.
Did not read a mention of that at all in Shadows of Reach. The only Forerunner thing on Infinity is its engines.
Even so, that one Guardian down out of hundreds and the UNSC just lost its Flagship.
Just a theory, just a “I think” situation that could happen. From what we’ve seen so far and know from the books none of it is very forthtelling to how one Guardian was in pieces.
