Just recently came back to Halo 5 from playing Apex legends mostly and the thing I immediately missed from Apex are the fast and long slides (crouch while sprinting). Halo 5’s feels slow and clumsy in comparison which I’d never noticed before playing Apex. Although I know Apex-grade sliding wouldn’t fit in Halo like it does Apex because Apex is a BR with a large map, but I do hope the sliding in Infinite will be slightly faster and maybe even go a little further than Halo 5’s. I certainly think Spartans could pull it off. What do you think?
I think it, along with ground pound and spartan charge, should be removed entirely.
The Apex slide fits Apex. I’m glad it’s in it, it’s a fast and loose gunplay game. The fact they don’t have wall-running irritates me, but that’s beside the point. But Apex isn’t Halo.
I think it really shouldn’t be in the game in the first place, along with every other Halo 5 ability except Thrusters.
Sprint is merely an illusion. You’re not traversing a map faster in the game in comparison to prior titles. They’re enlarged to compensate for the ability.
Sliding is an extension of Sprint. I’ve rest my case.
No slide will ever compare to Vanquish.
Halo 5’s slide feels real. The armour is heavy, I don’t see it sliding for more than a few feet.
If slide returns in Infinite, I agree that it would need to be slightly more versatile. There’s a reason the current slide is seldom used if at all apart from super slides, and that’s because it pretty much has no use outside of that in competitive play.
