I’m pretty sure they aren’t sterile. Most, if not all, sources say that they tend to have a suppressed sexual drive, not that they have been rendered sterile.
And honestly OP? Chief responded just fine to that comment. There was no response necessary because the Chief doesn’t need to try to make a petty comeback.
