Some people actually brought valid reason for its existence like Guilty Spark’s beam and Tartarus’ gravity hammer that could pull people at will.I think it is forming some sort of magnetic field around the targets.
If you mean what the Covenant use in their dropships to keep their warriors immobile in a standing position, it’s probably the same technology the High Prophets used in their Inner Sanctum in Halo 2 that kept Guilty Spark suspended and immobile.
It’s probably based on the same technology as the gravity lifts on the Covenant ships. It can safely drop troops to the surface or it can pull them up inside. If the Covenant have that level of control over gravity, then keeping an alternating push-pull on the warrior in the constraint field should not be difficult.
It would be even easier to clean the house. Especially that all you need to do is sit on a couch, and do your magic, dusting and all that. Even safer to clean the PCs inside. Fun, no?
Constraint fields are what the didact used in halo 4 to immobilize, pull, push John.
Yeah, just saying the tech has been seen in Halo previously to Halo 4 and in use by the Covenant.
