How do you start a blitz game

Do you rush for the points at the start while you build a reinforcing army to take over. Do you hold back and amass a decent force before leaving.

I’m trying to weigh in the rpos and cons of waiting as apposed to rushing in

Back in the beta I sent half starting army up and half down (leave the middle point empty).

By the time the first energy Pod arrives you can easily catch with any of the two armies, capture the top point and go back to the middle.

Your strategy should be trying to control OP Ridge as soon as possible.

running to take energy

Preface: I generally play as Captain Cutter with the 3 warthog starter
The strategy I use, that usually works for me, is that I send one warthog to capture/contest B, while I send one to A (I also generally play with a friend, and they send all their units to A). I send one to gather energy wherever I can. We take over A (and generally lose B) and for a while just let them win while we collect energy drops (since most of them are by A). We build up a sizable army, then charge B once I have enough for close air support, which I use on B when we are contesting it. Defend A and B (preferable with Kodiaks) until victory.
I call it the A-Strat.

I still don’t fully understand the energy system, I know grabbing them increase’s your power, but how mu h exactly.

I’ve played teams that spawn camped nodes but still lost because they couldn’t get enough units out. Is power a solid benefit or just a bonus

If I start at the spawn closest to A, I’ll go for A, either of the other spawns and i’ll go for point B. If i’m in the back of the two people going for b/c or if the energy spawns close to A, i’ll go for the energy, otherwise i’ll go straight to the point. I’m confident in my abilities to take out the enemies starting army, and i’ll usually scout them through the fog of war while i’m heading towards the point to see what i’m up against. If i’m going up against one army at A or B, I’ll use my starting energy to spawn in the best counter I can with my current cards, if I can spawn anything, and i’ll engage immediately. If i’m going up against two enemies at A, i’ll retreat southwards and help take over B/C and control OP ridge. If i’m going up against two enemies at B, i’ll hang back just outside the point until my ally arrives, and then i’ll engage with him. i’ll spawn in any counter i can while I wait. If I win my battle at A, i’ll usually hang out around A till the next round of energy spawns to grab it if I can, and then move south to fight over OP ridge, unless the enemy makes a massive attack on it with all 3 people, then i’ll fall back and help early. If I win my battle at B, i’ll usually just sit at B.

From there either way I’ll just try and hold B and the ridge, and move out for energy and maybe to support C if it needs the support.
