How do you play on Adrift?

I’m trying to get to a 2.0 KD and I’m currently at 1.71. I do good almost every game until I get to Adrift. I don’t get how to play on this map, I get that when you see 3 enemies coming you’re supposed to run but every single time I turn a corner or pop on PV there’s either 3 or 4 enemies bunched together while my team is scattered all over the map. I don’t get how to play on this map, please help.

Like all maps, you should stay with your team or at least try to travel in pairs. I rarely get to play on Adrift since people always vote for Haven, Complex or Solace. I honestly don’t like the map. I end doing more running around than shooting.

People really care this much about their K/D? Well, to each their own I guess.

Bottom floor of the middle room with hologram.

K/D is a very bad indicator of player skill. This topic is a perfect example of this.

Anyone else? -Yoink- my KD I just don’t want to do bad every time I get in this map and none of these comments really helped me.

if you stick around the bottom floor of the center room, using holograms to lure enemies you can get some easy kills, or you can stick with teammates and use some damn teamwork for once.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of Adrfit. Use a CQB weapon like the AR and hope for the best.

I tend to run the BR with either the boltshot pistol or an AR with the firepower mod. Also, since there’s a lot of fighting in doorways, I like to use the (underpowered) thruster pack to dive into cover when necessary. The hardlight shield can also be very useful for getting out of bad situations.

I try not to get caught in the hallways. Consider them mainly travel routes between the areas you actually want to be in. Your power positions are the bases, the neutral outdoor areas (where the sticky detonator spawns initially) and the top doorways to the central room. On initial spawn, I usually rush up here to overlook the central room and try to cover the sword. Invariably, someone on the other team will rush the sword, so seal off their escape with a pulse grenade. Pulse grenades are very useful for sealing of choke points on this map.

Don’t use the mancannons unless it’s to link up with a strong team presence at one of the bases or to hopefully come to a teammate’s aid. It’s too easy to take them and drop right into a group of two, three, or four enemies.

Same with the lifts from the central room. Unless you’re taking fire and need to get out of there, stick to sprinting up the stairs or jumping up the boxes to get to the second level. The more you can stay in control of your movement, the better.

Never go for the full frontal assault. Ever. Instead, use the copious choke points to your advantage. Try to lure enemies through doorways, and try to make them play into your advantage (i.e., get them to charge you if you have a SAW, get them to go through a doorway you’ve strategically placed a sticky detonator, etc.)

More than anything, stay to your safe zones, stick with your team, stay alive, and be patient. All pretty generic, but I think that last one is more important here.

Stick with your team and communicate. Really easy to dominate other teams when you all have a mic and everyone is talking… OH WAIT NOBODY HAS THEIR MIC ON THIS GAME! But seriously, you have to have a team that communicates if you want to do better.
