Just wondering how you guys enjoy your halo games, I prefer a monitor then a TV. Some TV input lag is unreal, over a sec late in reaction time. But I’ve seen friends who play It like that. Halo 5 I’ve seen is far worse for TV gaming then the other halo games. Depends on what TV you have tho.
I’ve been playing on a 44" plasma screen for a while. Looks great.

Maybe I’m just used to my computer screen for playing halo, my TV is horrible for playing fps games. After moving your analog stick it takes like a sec to finish after you moved it. I can’t aim on it haha. So your more of a couch gamer? I love been up close on my 27 inch screen, I find it much easier
I play on a 24" monitor after playing on a TV for about 8 months. Accuracy increase since the switch has been unreal.
You have control lag on a TV? Perhaps your TV is an old / defective one. And yes, I am a couch gamer.
I only use TV, I want to switch to my monitor.
Hell, I’m super lazy lmao.

It’s a Sony Bravia TV it’s a 2013 modal 45 inch just it’s horrible. Even with wired controllers it’s about roughly a second input lag
Definitely gaming monitor if I can, 5ms or less if my recommended standard for screen display latency.
For monitors, the price is really about what you’re chasing down for HDR and contrast relative to size. A good refreshing monitor with poor contrast and gamma won’t help with modern visuals.
4k won’t matter a whole lot versus a 1440p monitor of similar size, and how close you sit determines if you can see those 1080p monitor pixels resolution (about 2ft or closer is when I can see 25" 1080p pixels).
For TV’s, 4k you want to go Vizio or Samsung as they both have the lowest input latency. Vizio for your bargain bucks or just gaming, Samsung if want just a bit better contrast and colour.
Honestly, you won’t go wrong with a new 4k Vizio.
But, if you’re only going 1080p, Vizio, Samsung and LG offer models with less than 20ms latency. Make you sure you check that 1080p60fps latency on the box
I transitioned from a TV to a monitor some five years ago. It’s really your needs what should drive the decision. I used to play much more splitscreen in the past, which really made having a reasonably sized TV justifiable, but nowadays it’s much more suitable for my needs to use a monitor because that way I won’t need to split between two setups for console and PC. With that said, I like large screens, so I have a 32" monitor. That’s also useful for the occassional splitscreen play.
I prefer a monitor. It’s easier to see the whole screen, and the refresh rates on average are higher. Not to mention most monitors are cheaper.

I do my fair share of pc gaming so my computer runs 1080p games max was looking to upgrade to 1440p or 4k just I like using only one screen due to i don’t have enough room just gotta find the right one for the right price. I don’t think I can ever game on a TV unless it’s just messing around

True and true on a side note do you normally game with a headset or some speakers. I use both but I find speakers especially with a sub so much better then head sets

I exclusively play with my Astro A40s. I guess that’s a bit biased though since I really enjoy playing competitively.

I’ve never used the Astros just cause I couldn’t justif the price for them. Roughly $400 to $450 Australian dollars. My $150 turtle beach headsets are good but just don’t have the sorta sound quality as some speakers and a sub
I think I have a decade old 18 inch TV. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
I don’t have a monitor i play on a plasma tv
I play TV, always have. And I don’t really notice any of those things that make a TV bad.
I started off playing Halo on a large TV. But for the past 2 or 3 years, I’ve been using a monitor and I like that I made that transition.
50-something inch tv. It’s also 3D but since that lasted for like a year we never used it as such.
I have a TV with about 15ms input lag. It’s plenty good enough for me as I use a big TV for all my gaming, just more enjoyable to me. If I wanted to get serious about Halo though I’d get a monitor.
