Simple question. I sometimes see players with no service tag. How do you get it?
Press the space bar 4 times while entering service tag I guess
As far as I know, by modding, which is against the Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct and Terms of Service, I am not 100% sure if guests receive no Service Tag or it is automatically ‘0000’, but if you see a user with no Service Tag, file a complaint against them.

I am positive that Guests just get a random tag.

I’m gonna hop on and test this as well as trying to have four spaces as a Service Tag.

alright cause I thought I saw a guest today and they had the tag: D356 or something like that.

I believe they can change it but by default they have 0000.
Will edit this post momentarily to confirm/deny.
EDIT: I can confirm that it is NOT possible to have a Service Tag as blank legitimately, you have to modify your profile in order to do so, as for guests receiving the ‘0000’ Service Tag, they get a randomly generated tag.

I was matched with a player last night that had no service tag but was also shown up as a recruit and 0% armory and commendation progress but when I checked his service record it said Major grade 1. I messaged him after that game and asked how that happened and he replied saying he was challenge resetting and he got reset and cR banned so possibly thats another reason for it not showing.
To obtain an empty service tag, you must be on the way to destruction and admit that all your bases are belong to us. Oh and you need to obtain all seven super chaos emeralds.

If he was reset his service record would have reflected to show this, his data failed to load fully from the Stats server.

If a user has no service tag, is a Recruit, and has 0% Armory/Commendation progress, then it’s lag.
If a user has no service tag, but is otherwise perfectly normal, then it’s probably a mod.

Sounds modded to me. The only modder I’ve ever seen in Reach had an inheritor symbol next to his name in the lobby but when you clicked on his service record it was a recruit with 0 everything.

That’s just a loading problem from the Reach Stats server.
I know this is an old thread, but I have started seeing people in Halo MCC with empty service tags now. Anybody know anything about this perhaps?
