I got kicked my 2nd game for betraying my teammate/s. Its a gravity hammer! lol. But seriously its my first time getting kicked in this game. I love grifball, but I just don’t understand how not to get kicked quite often for betrayal.
They really need to do away with the booting. It’s going to happen.
I’ve had my teammates kill me on purpose a few times already though, one was clearly to steal the ball from me because they wanted it. I could finally boot the -Yoink- after the 3rd betrayal on me (everytime no enemies where even close to us)
They’ve already said they’re fixing it, but to answer your question, situational awareness helps a lot. I only played 2 games (not a big sample size), but I only saw maybe 4 betrayals and 0 kicks. It’s not that hard. The hammer is balanced pretty well.

This will be the problem in the future and everyone on the forum will blame 343 for it.

To answer the question of the poster, How do you not betray in grifball? You DONT! especially during the first seconds of game start…its a human death zone.
