How do you like the level "Halo" in CEA compared to the classic versio

Of all the levels in the game, it seems that the environment of this level has changed the most considerably. In the classic CE, we had more of a greyish-green environment (“rocky mountainy”??? I have no other words to explain it), but in CEA, the grey is traded for more of an orange colour, kinda like blood gulch and battle creek, but with more vegetation.

While it doesn’t look too bad at all, I don’t get why they changed it, especially when the anniversary reach DLC maps installation 04 and ridgeline (which are supposed to be situated in the same region) retain the greyness. And no, the orange isn’t simply because it is set in the afternoon. If you look closely at the rocks and the environment, you’ll see.

Personally, I prefer the old version, but I have no complaints. What about you guys?

When you exit the tunnel that had the “light bridge” and you turn left and see the sun and the water below, I would suggest to switch back to classic then back to the new graphics just to get a real idea of the beauty of the level.

Other than that, the level played just fine, was kinda hard to find the sniper rifle propped up next to a rock due to all the grass but little things like are not to be taken away from this level.

Yeah. I love how the water looks in CEA. Easily one of the best parts of the new graphics, other than the fact that the game is very colourful in a good way.

It’s mainly because the new “Halo” level takes place at either sunset or sunrise (I can’t really tell but it looks like sunrise because of “Silent Cartographer”). While the old Halo appears to be at midday. The color of everything on Earth seems to change a little more orangish color, especially grey roads and streets.

The place where Installation 04 is situated I looked at the skybox over the cliff. I was in classic at the time but I went into remastered and my mouth just dropped to the floor.

When I kept switching the graphics it looks like old halo was at night with a moon out and the new one was about mid day. Thats how much the contrast is from the old to new.

Not completely true. While I do agree the level looks to be set a little more during the afternoon/sunrise, the rocks would have a slight tint of orange rather than being colored solid orange/pink. There is no hint of grey anywhere.

I mean watch this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ld9qRNZuA

I think you can agree with me that grey colored rocks would never look that orange/pink on a sunset.
