How do you install the patch?

i installed/pre-ordered the digital version of H5, and I wanted to see if i could already install the patch that was announced so that I could get into the hype once I hop on.

I do not know how to do it though. So I was wondering if you guys can tell how to do so. Or was it only to people with the LCE?

You can’t simply select the patch. It comes automatically.

Check your bandwidth usage. Or simply hard reset your X1 and see if Update shows up.

What’s the size of your halo 5? If its 54.8gb then you already have the patch downloaded = good to go.

Just downloaded it last night and he is correct, the original download now includes the patch so nothing additional on your part either way. Just confirm you are at the 54.8gb for file size and if not, worst case scenario, when you go to load on launch it will download the patch if not before hand.

This, keep in mind the download thingy is glitched and it is a microsoft problem so you may need to reinstall.

It’s some seriously smart thinking on 343s part letting people preload the patch, considering it’s 9 gigs, hopefully the launch goes better than MCC

Yeah so, mine is sitting at 54.8gb, and yet still trying to download the patch (dl is at 30%)
So whats the go there?

I just installed it and it was at 54.8 gb but it still wouldn’t work im trying to reinstall it now

By still isn’t working are you trying to launch it? cause it wont launch until release date - 27th october (for your region). Assuming you are digital, if physical you can launch the game but cant play multiplayer, can play offline campaign.

It should automatically have installed if you got the digital version. On mine it says 54.7 so I think I got the update,but if your getting a physical copy then i think it would have to install the entire package all together.
