how do you get unbanned?

How do you get banned for 4 hours from lagging out because of a known issue with the game? who do I need to speak to in order to get that righted? I have been attempting to self fix the lag issue that has been causing me to lag out of games periodically for 3 months to no avail, and now I sit here banned because the game has not been fixed yet.

i mean you could try customer support but they are not going to unban you. Just wait the 4 hours, you have 7 out of your last games being a DNF, you could maybe make an argument if it happened once and you got banned for that long but with that many you deserve the 4 hour ban since there is no way to prove it was lag.

DNF’d 7 out of your last 30 games, thats 23% DNF’s

If you have a problem with disconnects then follow these steps and see if the problem is at you end.

  1. Go wired and not wireless
  2. Do a speed test and Ping test and see if he is gettin the speeds he should have.
  3. Reset his router periodically( strange as it may seem but sometimes this does help)
  4. Check that the router has the latest firmware update.
  5. Check that all connections to router and to xbox are secure(if wired)
  6. Try an brand new Ethernet cable(if wired) change from Cat5e UTP(Unshielded Twisted Pair) to Cat6 STP (Shielded Twisted Pair)
  7. If internet services are provided throu the the telephone line to your house, are the wires in the socket set correctly. i.e not loose or plastic shielding broken
  8. If internet services are provided throu the the telephone line to your house and you hear “noise” on the telephone line then that might mean some corrosion/short circuit at a junction box in the street.
  9. Try port forwarding on your router, then do another Speed test and Ping test.
If you have tried all of these then there is a problem SERVER SIDE.
    Hope this helps.

I also am a network tech, hence me attempting to fix the problem from my end in the first place. If you think i have not tried all of this already you must be daft.

It is easier for the banned to blame the servers rather than fixing the issue.

Stop quitting and repent. Its the only way.

No not really, just that most “young people” or “older” for that matter are not tech savy, and from your original post i did not get the impression that you had either tried to fix things you end. My post was only trying to be imformative and helpfull and in no way trying to insult your intelligence, as stated at the bottom of my post I was only trying to help.
Edit: just re-read your original post and realised that my post might have seemed condicending, and for that I appologise most sincerely from one tech to another

Ok, so first off, the banhammer doesn’t start at 4 hours, it accumulates according to how often you are quitting and getting banned. The banhammer doesn’t forget and has no mercy, if your lag is that bad its YOUR connection, because if you notice, most of us are playing Halo - lag!

The servers are crap right now, I got banned for 24 hrs because I keep laging out at the last second, is there anyway I can get un banned it’s not my fault the servers and crap right now.

  1. Turn off other equipment that might be hijacking your signal

Please don’t revive old threads, thanks.
