Hey all, I have a little question with a bit of explanation behind it.
When I was a little kid, I used to simply adore this computer game called Wing Commander. It was a Space Simulator where you flew spaceships on missions and stuff, kind of similar to the Sabre section from Halo: Reach. The player’s first squadron was called the Diamondbacks, and the symbol was the ‘four-plots’, a background emblem in Halo 3, Reach, ODST, and 4.
One day I decided to recreate the symbol as my emblem, by toggling the Seventh Column emblem off, then just using the ‘four plots’ background with the color set to white.
Once I started using it, my friends simply loved it and thought it looked so cool, they made it their clan emblem. Soon all my friends were using this emblem throughout 3, ODST, and Reach.
Me and my friends were a bit disappointed when we found out you had to unlock emblems in Halo 4, but luckily we found our traditional emblem and most of us have unlocked it by now.
However, there is no more Seventh Column emblem or a way to toggle off emblems in Halo 4, so no matter what, the emblem we’ve become accustomed to is deformed by other shapes.
It’s not a big deal to me or my friends, I just like consistency and want it to look like it did from the old game I used to play when I was like 3 years old. The symbol itself probably means more to me than them.
TL;DR version: How can you turn off foreground emblems or make them invisible on the “4 Diamonds” background emblem?
