How do you get a perfection?

In Halo 4, the Perfection commendation requires that you “complete a match without dying and get at least 15 kills.”

I’ve tried three different scenarios with my buddy to see exactly what that means:

First, it says “a match,” so, unlike other Halos, this made me think that you could get it in any match, even non-slayer. Also unlike previous halos, it does not say you or your team must win the game.

So on a custom game, my guest and I tried oddball, where I got 15 kills and 0 deaths and he won. No perfection. Then I tried winning oddball, still with 15 kills, 0 deaths. Still no perfection. Last, he got over 20 kills, 0 deaths on SLAYER, still no perfection. So, how does one go about achieving this medal/commendation?

No offense, but thats common sense. And yes, it says it on the commendations…Get 15 kills without dying throughout the entire match.

My suggestion, its easier to get on big maps. I got 3 of them just by playing on all the BTB maps. However, i do not recomend trying to get it on Exile. Its b/c of the damn scorpion.

Were you in Matchmaking, or Custom Games?

Never mind, saw that bit at the end. You have to be in an online Matchmaking game. Not Custom Games.

It’s not a medal it’s a commendation. It doesn’t say perfection at the end of the game like reach. Check your commendation progress. If you got at least 15 kills in a game and don’t die it will go up

I got one with 13 kills and no deaths, was surprised myself as I was trying to nail two more victims before the game ended but nobody was willing to get sniped in the face :frowning:

I managed to get 15 kills and zero deaths in a game of infinity slayer on Haven. No commendation though. I was playing splitscreen (matchmaking) but I dont see how that would affect it.

I hope someone figures out if a 15-0 Objective game nets someone a Perfection. If I do it, I’ll let ya know.

You don’t get commendations in customs.

Okay, I didn’t know that perfection wasn’t a medal anymore. I was aware that customs don’t get you commendations but thought that the medal existed and corresponded. So does anyone know if objective 15+/0 gets a perfection or if 15/0 and your teams loses gets a perfection?

i was playing ctf i got 20 kills 0 deaths my team won and yet i didnt any medal or accomedation.(and it was matchmaking)

I’m not sure how to get this medal twice now, I went 29/0 and 25/0 and no commendation. any ideas6/0nd I was in matchmaking. sorry for the typos I cant see what i write im on a mobile and it is wigging out

Objetives havent perfection medal(commendation).

Try camo + sniper in Ragnarok, but not in my games or… :wink:

There is no perfection MEDAL in Halo 4, only a commendation (I really don’t know why they did this).

for those asking about objective perfections you cannot get a perfection in an objective playlist like CTF or oddball etc. You only get a perfection in a slayer type game in matchmaking. I’m also a bit annoyed that you don’t get a medal anymore, having it as a commendation isn’t the same

I have Perfection mastered.

Perfections are only obtainable in Slayer variants including IS, BTB, SWAT, Regicide, and Team Regicide. The Perfection Commendation, like all the rest, can only be completed in MM.

Objective game types do not count.

I know, because I have a few in Dominion and KoTH with no Perfections

BTW you get perfections by not dying, camping, and playing smart.

Take note, if there is a host switch it will break your killing spree.

Good and sometimes lucky, I have only had one 15 plus kills and no deaths, it was a combination of playing on an organize team, and going against one that was not.

You don’t need the sprees, just the kills. I have plenty of games where I only a Killing Frenzy, 12 kills, and 3 vehicle kills and still got the Perfection. Vehicle kills count as kills.
