Just wondering what the general consensus is from Halo Waypoint members.
These changes cover promethean vision, the ability to add perks such as faster regen or more ammo, dmr and pistol still having bloom, having to press b to crouch, etc.
Pretty skeptical, however on November 6th ill be able to say with certainty what my feelings are. Until then I’ll be patient.
Personally iv’e lost all faith in 343i, honestly i’m not even mad anymore, to me they killed True Halo.

Exactly this. I am still excited for the game, but only time will tell if I enjoy it.

Lets just get this clear, I was one of those people who did not like Halo 3. I didn’t hate it but it was not my cup of tea. So when Reach was announced I was like, “Oh nothing can be worse then Halo 3”…
Then Bungie dropped the bomb… I literally went through depression for a few months over Reach
And then Halo 4 is announced and I’m all like, “NOTHING can be worse then the steaming pile of -Yoink- Reach is!”
Apparently 343 wants to prove me wrong.

I’m loving 9.5/10 of 343i decisions and changes.
Anyone getting negative about Halo 4 are just taking a game too seriously. Honestly when were games supposed to not be fun AND competitive?
Also never forget about controller options, button layouts, playlists, settings and everything else to cater to all sorts of game styles and likes.
Complainers are just so literal and tunnel visioned when they state one aspect of the game.

I loved halo 3 but everything else said after that i completely agree.
It’s going to take a lot to get me excited again, my faith is non-existent right now, to me True Halo is dead and it’s not nice to think in that way really.
It’s been an amazing 10 year’s, no regrets, but i doubt i’ll have the same or even better memories with Halo 4.
Looks great, doesn’t sound comforting.

No matter how bad it is, we need to be behind it and be optimistic. If Halo is to survive then we have to overcome ourselves.

My feelings are kill it with fire. I was going to elaborate more, but I think kill it with fire describes my feelings fairly accurately already.
I like most of what Ive seen so far. Except the new look forElites and other aliens.
I was concerned about Forunner Vision, or “Promethean Vision”.
But apparently, it’s not as powerful as I thought it would be.

At this point in time I’m unsure how I feel about Halo 4 ATM I really hoping for some really good news soon / most of the news lately has been bad from a competitive view —
I also think it all depends on how and were 343i places all these NEW THINGS
ONLY TIME WILL TELL

A lot of things i like and a few i am still iffy about. Not too sure about that DMR bloom but eh still gonna use the BR and rape.
Unlike some more extreme members of the Halo community, re releasing CE MP for the next ten years is not the way to go. Unless you want this series to die while catering to a minority group of gamers who can’t decide what classic Halo is (Halo is a mainstream game. Always has been thanks to it’s success. Hate when players think it’s on the same level as Quake/UT)
Most seem to forget that Bungie didn’t build the first Halo to be competitive from the start . It was casual first and foremost; it was only turned into a competitive game by the gamers who wanted the game to ascend to a higher level. None of us were born to be a Halo pro, all casuals from at point. It was something that was developed over years and evolved to MLG tournaments and what not. CE had the pleasure of having the most simplistic sandbox (with OP pistol) because there wasn’t many weapons in the game. It wasn’t as if Bungie decided to do this for competitive gamers out of the blue. The ideas layed out were expanded by the gamers; nothing more.
Of course, i am really hoping that Halo 4 is balanced with the armor bonuses (can’t call them perks or all of you guys get mad) and the AAs. Without that, we WILL get another Reachlol.
I don’t like the changes but that is only because I haven’t seen them in action and have nothing really to go by. I want them to be awesome once the game comes out, I want to love everything about this game Halo has been a big part of my life for a 10 years. I am going insane thinking of ways all these changes can work together and make a awesome MP experience I just hope 343 pulls it off I want them to so badly but I must admit I have lost a little hope. All I know is Halo 4 is a make or break game for me, if it isn’t any good I am done with consoles and microsoft won’t get my money for the new xbox because halo 5 and 6 would be the only reason I would buy it.
