I just look at the screenshots for them and I kinda like them, but I cant say for sure until I play them, but after they come out what else will we be getting? Will we be getting more maps later on within the year or is 343i going to be highly focused on updating the crap outta Halo 4?
I think they look pretty good, but I do wish they were small or medium maps. I guess it makes sense, though. It is the Castle Map Pack, and that implies big maps.

"The Castle Map Pack takes the GS to 1750 with 9 additional achievements.
If 343i does do Halo 2 Anniversary, IMO, there will be a 4th map pack, just like one was with Halo CE anniversary and playable on Halo Reach. IMO, if Halo 2 comes out, it will have a map pack playable on Halo 4.
That’ll be 2000 GS!
343i have said they will preview the Castle Map Pack at PSX in late March and also talk about it and their future plans for Halo 4.
That leaves E3 for the next game to be announced, if at all.
Alternatively, they (343i) might just release a 4th map pack without it being attached to any new game.It is because they have released the three, Crimson, Majestic and Castle so close to each other, lends weight that one might come at a later date, with or without a game connected to it.
I simply do not believe for a moment, that within 4 and a half months, they release the game and all three map packs and that’s it. There will be more,in my view.

It looks more interesting than the Majestic Map Pack, but time will tell…

You know, the release dates for the maps were set pretty early, as early as the game was released. 343 is just sticking to their schedule, they aren’t being ignorant. And besides, many issues have been taken care of, like the boltshot.
Even if they have fixed some of the issues I wonder what else that they will fix? Maybe Forge bugs, maybe add in precision editing and fix some other issues forge has. I dont mind Forge the way it is in Halo 4 but I wish they would have added what Reach had in its Forge and add back ALL the gametypes it had as well, Invasion was by far my favorite to Forge because of the variety it allowed me to create.
I’m saving my judgement until I can get a better look at them, not just a few glances in a short video and a couple screenshots.

They’re doing both. Map packs are preplanned whereas game issues aren’t planned at all.
I can’t develop an opinion about them until they come out and play them for a bit. I thought Crimson looked good at first and thought they played well when they first came out. A couple weeks of play changed that opinion.

I think there will be more but in the form of an expansion pack bundled with Spartan Ops Season 2. Maybe some new forge environments, weapons, and armor thrown in with it. Maybe even some more SR ranks.
I just want the Frigate in background to fire or shoot like on Condemned.
Small, medium or large, if they’re as much fun as Majestic then I’m all in.
