I feel that aim assist should be optional. I cant tell you how many times I had an enemy scoped in, the a banshee would fly right above my cross hairs, jerking the scope up right before I took the shot. Or when a grunt would be frantically running through my scope when trying to take down an Elite and my reticle would go flying sideways. Its extremely frustrating and it’s kind of an insult to the Halo players in my opinion. Do we really need built in autoaim? I can understand it’s use on the Magnum or other close quarters precision weapons, but for the most part, it’s kind of annoying. It also makes the Needler slightly overpowered in my opinion because you barely have to move the right analog stick to be able to blow up a hostile in a fabulous purple explosion. Do any of you guys out there feel the same way?
Yea some times it’s a pain in the -Yoink-. Especially when i’m trying to stay aimed on a weak target and his/her team mate is strafing in from of him/her causing my reticule to bounce between the two. I see this happening a lot in KoTH.
Optional doesnt make sense when its so amazingly huge.
Halo is different than BF or CoD (Both of which I play with no Aim Assist btw), it requires twitch shooting rather than tracking.
Playing without it is FAR too disadvantageous.
The question should be, should it be reduced?
I guess it should be optional, but seriously, try 5-shotting a moving target without aim assist. It’s next to impossible.
I believe aim assist should be reduced. To many time has my aim been thrown of by a moving target next to the target I’m shooting.
