- They do a great job
- They are doing the best that they can, given the limitations that they are set
- They could be doing a better job, given the limitations that they are set
- They aren’t doing a great job
This is something that has been on my mind for a while
I personally feel that part of the reasons there is a huge gap between the community and 343, is due to a lack of proper and sincere PR
Some examples I have are:
- Halo Infinite not being released with Split Screen
- Halo Infinite not being released with Forge
- Controversy with Player Collision
What I feel that all these things have in common, was the lack of sincere address and acknowledgement toward their outcome
What I mean by this is that:
- Halo Infinite not being released with Split Screen
- Halo Infinite not being released with Forge
Were both announced in a sentence - in a Halo Infinite update video - among other news/updates in the video; deeming it as ‘not that significant’
In my opinion, this would have been better handled in it’s own announcement, like the recent:
Halo and Master Chief are here to stay
343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer and more of what makes Halo great
- Acknowledging the significance of Halo Infinite not releasing with Forge
- Apologising and communicating why, and the plans moving forward
- Communicating how they will compromise and make it up to the community
In conclusion I don’t want to go too in depth with this first post, as I would like to leave that for the discourse that comes of this thread
I understand, agree and acknowledge that we are all human beings. We are not all perfect, we all make mistakes and we can always do better
This thread is to seek perspective and understanding on how the community feels about it’s community management
Looking forward to reading your responses, insights and perspectives 
Questions like these make me wish they could just tell us all the truth.

I honestly feel like they don’t care about anyone but the pro community, but as far as community management, I feel like they don’t care at all. They seem almost as apathetic as I am about the game.

I don’t understand why the take out game types on a bi-weekly basis. My friend and I play ranked doubled because in 4 mans, somebody always lags out or the team flat out sucks. This is starting to get very annoying. Just give us everything. If there aren’t enough players, so be it. Keep stuff in. Stop drip feeding us game types that we don’t want to play.

I think they’re doing a great job and that the community that posts on the Internet, largely, sucks.
Bungie knew where the franchise was headed, they’d never come back for it.
i have choose for they aren’t doing a great job.
if i only look back to last year all then there have done a worst job more.
the super lack of comunication between there playerbase was so worse that people more good to feel there are not listing at all.
if you look at the hot topic’s from last year all there was not 1 community management that has think from lets explane things to the communety is good.
since last year more the xbox communety and the PC communety have fight a lot against each other on topic’s like cheaters or the input’s diffrend.
and same go’s for there promice about split screen Co-Op that was scrap no explane why it has been scrap by then since the only way to know the reason was more to google it and to find a artikel from a developer there that was nice to share and explane the reason what for problems there was why it was better to scrap it.
same more with the news from the last couple weeks is something there need to share if things go’s bad.
same with the problems that some people have i see there not helping at all.
for exemple my problem that my profile photo on the forum not has been chance to the new one at all for more then a month long.
and that there hide also infomation what soon of later will come out by other source’s like the one’s gaming news site’s are using and we need to know it from there.
