How do YOU define the halo feel?

Alright guys, why makes halo feel like halo to you? What aspects of halo do you feel are apart of the halo formula?

Personally, Halo 3 was a great balance for me, but I’m here to find out what you guys think. Whats the halo formula in your opinions and what should be used in halo 4?

For me Halo is just going into matchmaking with a group of friends and just having fun. Winning or losing doesn’t matter. That’s just me.

Balanced and equal start for both teams. Only advantages to be had are settled with a combination of Guns,Grenades,Melee as well as map control, teamwork and individual skill.

absolutely this,

this includes:1-50 ranking system,fast gameplay,symmetrical maps,…and more things

this excludes:sprint,AAs,armor parts which give you an advantage, and all the other things which were mentioned in the interviews

the only bad thing we’ve seen in the video so far is sprint

without sprint and the things mentioned in the interviews i would love halo 4 right now

“Two men enter, one man leaves, that’s Halo”

Halo CE.

Everything after has been disappointing.

I hope Halo 4 finally rejuvenates the series.

Halo: A fast paced, perfectly balanced, and medium kill-time arena shooter.

We are going to have to imagine in our heads that this is HALO 1 in new time that is way different and that 343i is BUNGIE. We don’t know what to expect because it’s a new trilogy. But what makes Halo Halo is hip fire, story, and fast paced. That was the down fall of Reach. Halo Reach should’ve been the Fall of Reach since how poorly it was.

Halo 3.

Balanced, equal starts, clean design, original.

So from the looks of it pretty much everything Halo 4 is not.

just pure fun.

A shooter with more to it than shooting. Creativity and audacity are rewarded in Halo.

That, and the epic feel of a well thought out, deep and intriguing storytelling. I was always hooked with the dramatic, ancient sci-fi tone of the story.

So, basically Halo 3 was my favorite. I don’t know enough about Halo 4 to make a decision of whether I will like it, though.

Halo CE

Just the fact that I’ve made a lot of friends over the years playing Halo, and we still play and talk to this day.

I just like how Halo helped me meet strangers with a common interest, and then became good friends with those people.

Everyone starts off the same. You aren’t rewarded for playing longer on maps because you need to keep control of the battlefield by using the power weapons to control it.

Halo for me will always go above and beyond the Call of Duty ( pun intended). You don’t have to be a one man army to win a game. A n00b in this game will be owned by a veteran simply because of how the weapons cannot kill you in one shot (unless rockets etc (which they won’t get because they won’t know where they spawn)).

Also the jumping. I love the jumping aspect of this game. It’s a crucial element of this game and being able to jump automatically makes you better than some of the other players with the same skill level with you with a gun.

There’s the fact that the story element has got flair to it that isn’t as cheesy as other games. I admire the forge and the sense that thee community are always creating fun gametypes and maps.

I love the variety in halo’s playlists in multiplayer matchmaking.

To round it off… I love Halo!!!

Don’t you mean “Two men enter, one is left respawning, that’s Halo.”?
