I just got kicked out of a game because my teammate was trying to betray me since I got in the Mantis in BTB. I betrayed him 3 times by defending myself and simply reported him. What do you do when a teammate becomes your enemy?

Report and block.
Betray them back or block/report them.
I always betray them back if it was obvious that they meant to betray me.
Normally I am a pretty passive player, and avoid going for power weapons or power vehicles. Even doing that there are still jerks who betray you randomly. In response I try to bait them to betray me, so I can kick them faster.
I kick them.

Follow them around and wait for them to get shot by the enemy then kill them. After that I -Yoink!- them.
Repeat x3 for each time they betrayed you.
Ignore them. Betraying them back doesn’t help you, play smarter :).
Many times in infection (I forget the map, but it is foggy, and has a ledge) lots of troll players and immature players Spartan charge other survivors off the edge. So, I put myself in an irresistible position for them to Spartan charge me, I simply thrust to the left or right, have them fall to their death, and Tbag their corpse when I kill their zombie form.
Usually ignore them. But my favorite thing to do is jump of the edge of the map with whatever it is they are trying to betray me for if I can. 
I try to ignore them, but I like to pop their shields and lead them into enemy fire.

I had this in firefight. There were 2 “teammates” who fired at my wraith for two solid minutes. I splattered them and then been sent out of the game…
Usually I report them
You’ve got to be better than them, by betraying them back you are no better than they are.
Ignore and report for unsporting behaviour.

lol, I get all upset and yell. When I accidently teamkill, I also get a bit mad, depending how it happened.
You should kick and report him
I came back from being afk as soon as a strongholds match started on empire. As soon as I grabbed my controller a grenade came out even though I didn’t press the trigger and the coil exploded betraying my teammate. I felt really bad about it and I sent him a message saying that it was an accident. At the end of the match he said I was bad. After that, I was somewhat happy that I betrayed him.
Sometimes I’m ran over by people, so they can get a legendary or a +50 point kill and steal the boss kill from me. I don’t get the option to kick them.
If it could be accidential, ignore it. If it happens again and could be an accident, become suspicious. If it happens a third time, recording and all bets are off. I just return the teamkills.

That spot on Backwoods is crazy. I don’t go there anymore, everybody there is too busy ground pounding and spartan charging people off of the edge.
