OK, I just had a match on WZFF where I was driving a warthog and accidentally ran over another player, I had a gunner we were stuck behind this guy for a while coming out of the center of the Temple map (round 2, kill 30 Elites). After that he kept charging into me with the running melee, and when I got in a Wraith, he dropped out of a (perfectly good) banshee right in front of me and started meleeing me, I edged around him. 10 secs later he does the same thing again but lands straight on the front of my banshee and kills himself. I get banned from the game. How do I block the person responsible so I don’t have to face this again? I’m not even sure about the 1st time I accidently killed this player, I was stuck behind him for ages and assumed he was just oblivious, I don’t kill many people by accident at all it’s very very rare. And I went out of my way to avoid it, but somehow he ended up being run over. Also I am suspicious, despite being a decent player I would not know how to suicide myself against another player that was obviously doing all they can to avoid any aggression whatsoever. Dropping out of a banshee to land directly in the path of another players wraith is not a skill it ever occurred to me to try. Anyone help?
Click on his name in the carnage report and bring up his gamercard. You can block him from there and you will not be matched with him anymore.
While you’re at it you can always report him for “Unsporting Behavior” there too.

Blocking players doesn’t work anymore since Dr Menke turned that feature off. Try clicking the recent players list and see if he’s on there to report him though.

I asked about this a while ago and it still applies to Firefight.
Hmm, interesting. I guess go ahead and see if blocking works then.

If that’s the case then look up the game you were booted from on Waypoint and find the user’s name. Then you can block him via Xbox Live. Whether or not that prevents matchmaking with him depends on settings on 343i’s end, though it sounds like they have it set up in WZFF so blocking prevents matching.
Not in recent players. Hopefully I’m being paranoid and the 1st time I killed this guy was an accident and he was some sort of psychotic maniac who had to have his revenge and he banned me, reported me and blocked me so I don’t bump into him again. I’m worried that it is some sort of grudge from some previous match or something, and he was out to get killed twice deliberately from the start. He was bottom of 8 by a long, long way and yet was skillful enough to drop out of a banshee to insta-kill himself deliberately on my wraith from a height where the banshee wasn’t even in view. It took 2 tries, but still I would take a lot more tries to get it right even once. Having never felt the need to perfect that “skill”.
If I’ve ever been booted from a game in my 38 days realtime total play on Halo 5 it was towards the beginning when I was clumsier. I’m not sure whether it was Halo 5 or Halo 4 it was so long ago.

Ahh, I didn’t think it showed up there either. I’ve got the little so and so now. from the looks of his playing ability he’s just an -Yoink- who’s a bit -Yoink-. I blocked him on the site, but can’t see how to do on live.

You should edit this and remove his name. Calling people out on here isnt allowed.

Oops. Done. sorry boss
Blocking them doesn’t guarantee you won’t get matched with them, it just makes it less likely.

What the hell? I edited the post as you suggested to remove the name. and then got a 2nd Forum warning from the same admin.

To be clear, the only thing I did was edit out the name as instructed to. I certainly didn’t repost anything.
There are idiots everywhere, I already crush other players without doing it on purpose, the best thing to do is to send a message of excuse to avoid him getting angry.
