In case you hadn’t heard, the Halo 2 BR is on Riptide as well as the H5 BR. Is this a sandbox faux pas? Or is it not a big deal? Part of me thinks it shouldn’t be okay to hold two BRs at once, but the more reasonable part of me thinks it probably won’t change gameplay much at all. Just curious to hear everyone else’s thoughts.
Not much different from being able to hold two of any of the already similar rifles, which is something they broke a long time ago.
I think it’s a bit of an odd choice to have both the H2BR and H5BR on the same map. Gameplay wise there’s no benefit except for extra ammo, and historically ammo hasn’t really been all that meaningful in the first place.
Also in case you weren’t already aware, all the Warzone variants count as unique weapons, so you’ve been able to hold Two BR’s for a long time.
Good point with the fact that you can hold 2 similarly niched guns, but my concern is that both BRs are 4 shot kills and both are in service of the exact same range and niche.
I was speaking more to the implications for Arena rather than Warzone.
As I said though, all you really gain is some extra ammo at the cost of being much more restricted in niche.
Even though I can wield two BR’s I probably won’t, because I could be using that slot for an SMG, Shotgun, AR, etc. instead to cover my CQC fights.
Though I do appreciate the cautionary attitude towards new game mechanics, instead of just immediate support.
I really don’t see this affecting much of anything. I do kind of feel like it was a pointless addition, but I don’t really feel like being able to hold 2 BR’s breaks anything, or really has any sort of meaningful impact on current gameplay.
Just help you be able to swap out when you run out of ammo I guess. It does happen when using a BR at times.
I agree with xCHEMISTx, it’s more bullets, I like it, a lot lol.
I’ve found double BR’s in Warzone to be extremely helpful in staying alive longer and controlling the map. You’re like a walking turret.
