I have quite a few banshees, I know how to fire, switch weapons, and mount/dismount, but one thing I do not know how to do is do a barrel roll/loop the loop in a banshee.

Um if you werent a noob you would have know but the button to barrel roll or loop is LB and you need to push the leftstick to the left to do the barrel roll and up to do the loop at the same time.
It’s whatever your sprint button is assigned to, so it would be X if you use Recon. You can also loop faster if you hit the boost button while you’re doing the loop command.
If you’re unsure of how to do something, you can always start a custom game and practice things.
I practiced on guillotine by myself and still can’t find a way to loop and do a barrel roll. But now it I know and that’s apparently 0% of the battle.
LS + LB
LS to left or right = Barrel Roll
LS to back (down) = loop
It’s not as fluid or responsive as past halo games. Banshee peaked in Reach and gradually got nerfed in H4&5

Well that just not true. I sprint with A and barrel roll with LB

You are not allowed to fly too hogh - than the option is blocked.
I don’t think I’ve known how to do it since Reach… pretty dumb that they changed its controls. Tapping A plus the direction on LS was perfect.
…and I’m not a noob either. Another example, back in the day, where Halo changed for the sake of change!
To the person who said we’re NOOBs if we don’t know how to fly a Banshee in Halo 5. Bungie and now 343 change the controls for it every time they make a game. I have flown Banshees on Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4, Halo CE Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo Wars. I haven’t played Halo Wars 2 yet but if I can fly a Banshee on it I will. I have not learned to fly a Banshee on Halo 5 yet because the controls are different than the other games. Does this make me a Noob? I don’t think so. I’m going to YouTube, Gamefaqs.com or wherever I can go to get the answers I need.

No need to be a jerk about it.
For my control scheme (Halo 4), it’s the Left Bumper while doing a directional input on the left stick. If you’re doing Legacy or Southpaw, the stick will be different. Left Bumper in my control scheme is the thruster pack, so I’d recommend trying whatever button your thruster pack is.
Can anyone confirm that the plasma bomb goes faster when you shoot them and looping at the same time?Always saw pro’s doing that but can’t confirm myself.
