how do the ranks work?

Im confused is there ranks like in halo reach or what please describe this to me. It would be much appreciated

It’s like Reach with a progression system based on exp. It’s 1-50 levels (not like Halo 3) and your ranks are called SR (Spartan Ranks). When you level up, you gain more armor, weapons, armor mods, AAs etc. For the weapons, mods, and AAs, you’ll need to use Spartan Points, which you gain as you level up.

Once you reach SR-50, you can work towards Specializations, which have their own levels (10 to be exact) which, as you go through them, unlock unique emblems, armor, weapon skin, and finally, an armor mod. There are 8 of them to go through and in total, it comes to about SR-130, which there will be some unlocks if you get that far.
